I honestly don’t know why you haven’t got more views and subscribers

That’s true, but at the same time the channels with lots of subscribers get over saturated and the content changes. Look at Rick Beato... his videos were great at first, but the bigger his channel has gotten the more his content leans towards reactions and soapbox opinion pieces. And that’s what his viewers want. Same with Music is Win. A bunch of distractions and grandiosity but not much substance if your goal is to actually get good at playing. Steve’s channel is great because the content is actionable and there isn’t any product sponsorship fluff. And that’s probably why it isn’t as popular. Most people only want to be entertained.

@@teragram8006 I agree. Steve keeps it real. And there's probably not as many subscribers, because Steve isn't doing videos on shortcuts, and musicians like us are hungry for meat and potatoes stuff that might be hard to learn, but it's worth it in the long run.

some of his other videos have plenty of views, especially some of the tremolo ones. He’s still not overall as huge as he should be

That scale exercise was a real lightbulb moment for me. I "know" the pentatonic patterns, but haven't been able to really use them practically in actual playing. Having to relate them to the root in whatever position you're in on the fretboard is both stunningly obvious and mindblowing. Super-useful stuff!
