I just realized calcharo's dodge counter in ult is considered resonance liberation damage, so it's a dps increase to dodge when he has yinlin buff + ult. That way u can use dodge counters during your ult with buff if the boss still has their shield up and is attacking. Then when they get downed, you can use the clunky but optimal 3 death messenger combo while theyre not attacking.

an electro DPS that does nuke dmg with their liberation (like Havoc Rover) would be much than Calcharo with Yinlin , since their liberation will get fully buffed , and you have more freedom to quick swap between the two , that's why I'm really enjoying Yinlin/Rover currently , the team feels great to play

Proper rotation is Echo(swap cancel) > Intro > Skill > Skill (swap cancel) > B2 B3 B4(swap cancel)> Liberation > Forte(swap cancel) For the B4 swap cancel you can go into calcharo and use his echo too, then you swap cancel calcharo's echo back into yinlin. If you are lacking in points for your Forte, after Intro you can immediately do a B3 (the spinning attack), followed by HA. Yes I know this game is more complicated than Genshin, but this combo is still fairly easier than remembering thousands of tekken moves, and it's not like you are gonna follow the combo to the letter, few times if you get hit or miss some abilities you will lack in forte so this is just a guideline of steps to maximize the forte cumulation to have most uptime on your punishing marks. ER Requirement is around 30% if you can stick to the combo, get more if not (as you will need the liberation to get most enemies in sinner's mark and not waste time with basic attacking them, if you can't get the liberation in time, ensure you intro into yinlin, as you will hit an aoe, and can also use her b3 immediately to hit the majority)

Also a tech for Yinlin is to hold HA after your liberation to do the Forte directly. Because if not, when you hold HA AFTER liberation completed you are forced to do a B1 first, then Forte.

I found Yinlin charged (heavy) attacks between her two skill use also charges her forte and resonance pretty fast. Obviously you'll need to keep an eye on the forte bar or you'll accidentally use her forte if the bar is full.

I really tried to use her as a sub dps, focusing on buffing calcharo with her outro , moonlit set effect and heron, but Calcharo just can't take full advantage of all that like Jiyan does, and I think everyone else is already realizing that and blaming Calcharo for being designed poorly, but in reality I just think we all got used to the comfiness of Jiyan + Mortefi playstyle, it's easy, and hella effective. PSA: Her Heavy Attack generates a lot of Forte.

you can quickswap with calcharo and maintain yinlins outro buffs. If you get back to him before he completes death messenger he will still maintain the buffs. I tested this and saw that his liberation damage bonus remained buffed after the swap.

in the pure off field role when we swap cancel echo say we switch to verina to cast her atk buff then we do all the stuff with yinlin and since we have heron, the next character we switch to will be our main dps(not verina since the heron buff is lost) using outro skill. The problem is that won't we lose verina buff uptime on our main dps?

Afaik, heron only buffs next character when you eventually do the outro skill. Since the outro happens at the end of her windows usually , no issues!

Do you have to do all these swap cancels to clear content in this game? I find it kind of silly that I can’t just use the characters kit normally, I have to only do 2 hits swap, do this, swap, do that, swap. Can I not just fill up her forte and concerto and then go to town with my main DPS?

I find her Punishment Mark mechanic to be incredibly inconsistent. I know for a fact I hit a certain enemy with her basics to get the Sinner Mark, but the Forte doesn't upgrade it into a Punishment Mark sometime for no particular reason... And I know this because often it still activates on other enemies but not all of them despite, again, I know that I 100% tagged them all with the Sinner Mark and the Forte 100% hit them all...

for calcharo specifically theoretical dmg wise, no quickswap is the damage celing, because the outro is really big for him. However in general, quickswap is the more valuable tech and the more game-fitting

Quick swap sub dps, just say dual DPS like Star Rail it's kinda confusing because Off-field is already sub DPS. Also Changli feels like she is Dual DPS from dreams.

Yeah Changli also provides some buffs like Yinlin , i think it's 20% liberation dmg and 25% Fusion dmg if i remember correctly

If u will be doing all the rotations shown on youtube against bosses, u will die all the time u r doing them. Only dodge and parry skills are matter in this game. And have fun with this mechanic.

@@AlekseyPyanzin Theorycrafting dps is always matter in TOA (which is also an endgame and it quite important as it is getting reset) where you actually fighting against the clock to get 3 star instead of a boss so every bit of DPS matter, unlike hologram bosses where the time limit is big enough as long as you have the character build.
