SVB's mistakes were: missing a combo (rack 5), missing a tough safety (rack 8), and missing a very difficult 1-ball after he was forced to push out. SVB didn't make any UNFORCED errors. Every time he gave up the table the situation he faced was very difficult to always get a favorable result. Alex didn't make a ball on the break a couple of times, and he made a very bad unforced error playing position from the 6-ball to the 7-ball in rack 10. Total dominance by Shane and there really wasn't anything Alex could do about it.

in 9 ball the wing balls and the one often go in on the break leaving only 6 or 7 balls on the table whereas a 10 ball break often leaves 9 or 10

Idiots like you who enjoy winner break are the reason pool is dying... NAY, dead. Winner break makes the game SO much more random. No other sport does this. I'd rather try to go pro in ping pong for this reason as well as all the other random chance aspects like HEY let's play 9 ball with slop and you can even get lucky and have a 9 ball combo so you can win without even trying. Do us a favor and don't reproduce

as a player with literally the worst break in pool one day i had made 7 balls in 9 ball and was completely frozen on the rail and the 9 and that was on old felt not simonis and it was with my old 99 dollar meucci not some high end break stick with a super hard tip ........ i wish they would slow things down in this sport because a race to 9 in this sport especially with all the talent out there is just not fair or shouldnt be decided by the break . JMO .
