16:23 is one of the better shots I've seen. Seems simple, but it reflects an incredible level of cue ball control. Yes Alex makes mistakes elsewhere, but this shot is impressive - and not because of the bank. For Alex the bank is childs play. It is the draw to an exact position.

Love these commentators, much more interesting than the most I’ve heard. Taking bets on which ball and the general banter. Made the crazy long waits interesting and do these tourney’s not have some sort of shot clock? These announcers are trash. You can tell they are the "HIT and HOPE for the best" type players. No appreciation for the game. A good announcer would talk about the options, risk, strategy, fear, likelihood of execution, what they're thinking, etc. These guys are really yawning with no conception of whats at stake; like its a bar game or something. Really not qualified. Would love to see their credentials.

When did they go away from wooden racks or from using the masterrack?
@blackmamba999713 жыл бұрын
Tournaments use them because using the thick duroplastic racks sometimes causes the balls to shift by a few millimeters when you try and remove it. When that happens the person who breaks will make more balls off the shot. The league decided that using thin acetate racks reduces the chance of ball shifting to make it fair all round for each player when they break. I agree that it works much better than duroplastic.

And alex should try and shoot the god damn ball when its presented as a gift. I've played pool for thirty years and played in various leagues winning a few of them. But I have to agree with the audience, he uses too much time to shoot. Looking at the table myself I know exactly what ball to go for and how to set up for the next one, but his constant staring at the table was causing some dismay even with the audience who was there watching it. I'm sure some of them even got their social security checks waiting for him to take a shot. Overthinking a game can cost a match, and he almost lost the final because of his over thinking along with Boening. Both of them shouldn't have had to waste nearly three hours for ten frames. The most a final tournament should last with ten frames is about an hour and twenty minutes. But because of the No Shot clock policy they took advantage of that and I wasted my time watching it. I aged several years because of it. I lost some hair. And now I have to go a get some rogain, and some just for men hair solution to get rid of the grey. Plus some depends, and extra strength laxative. You see what I mean? Snooker players don't even take that long unless its in the very last final frames which are 35 frames, which can sometimes last four hours. Ronnie O'sullivan who is a snooker player made the world record book for shooting a perfect 147 in five minutes and six seconds. And that is on a six by twelve table. The difference is, is that no snooker player has taken more then a minute or two to contemplate a simple shot.
