Man, the story the faces of those coins tell. Not just the work of the craftsmen, but the sediment and scratches. It just makes the find so much better, seeing them in such detail.

I’ve been a metal detector since 1977, I actually have a Deus 2 but had a severe accident that left me paralyzed and that is when I discovered KZbin. The fact that you can pull a small relic from the Bronze Age at just about every opportunity is just mind numbing mate. You, Martin, Simon & The Hoover Boys have ruined my detecting career 😂😂 All the love mate! Well done this year! Always excited to see a new video from the Bonnie fields of Pertshire! Have a lay down mate- well deserved ❤❤❤

@ Well, unbelievably enough, I’m learning to walk again and haven’t sold the Deus yet- I’m to mean to give up. You stay safe! Dig it all mate!

Frozen ground won't stop you if you invest in or even hire a small mechanical digger. We have one here in Australia that is tiny with soft tracks. They are mainly used for digging narrow trenches and go down about 1 metre. It's called the dingo.

Frozen ground days might be a good time to use the hoard hunter metal detector. Just to mark, and take note of the spot to dig at a later time, being that their won't be many targets to be found with the hoard hunter any way. Just don't let us know where they are until after you've finally have got around to digging them at a time when the ground is not frozen.
