KL is my favourite city that I have visited. Not many people go to the KLCC gallery in Merdeka Square but I definitely did and it was worth visiting. I think I did all of the main tourist sites in the city.

There's a technique. Never swallow down the throat just yet, slowly savor the food to let saliva break down the spiciness. Soon you'll get used to eat our food with masterful demeanor in handling the type of chilli found within this region. Thanks for your beautiful video🎉

😂Haha, durian cake was so traumatizing that Heather tried poking the straw thru the drink Taiwan boba style! 5:08 Heather: "Let's just clear away that durian flavor" King of Fruits: "😏Famous last words" I always recommend Malaysia (and esp. KL) as a perfect gateway entry into Asian travel. You're not thrown into the deep end of culture, visual, aural, and physical shock. KL is Goldilocks Asia: great value for your travel dollars, a one stop shop sampling plate of cultures (as Bill & Heather demonstrated so well here), a mixture of old & new (Blade Runner-esque), and quite importantly, an English speaking population (signage too!) that at least gives you a decent chance at communications. Oh...and the food 🤤 (IMHO!) Loved the cinematography - the gently sweeping shots, the 'Star Wars' sweep transitions (yah yah, I'm sure RKO or those old matinees did them first) and the on-point musical cues. Informative, cheery travel-log! I love Big Buns and I cannot lie..🎵

when visiting a mosque, its kinda necessary to first understand that a typical mosque conducts five prayer sessions DAILY (approximately 5 am, 1 pm, 4.30 pm, 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm - depending on sun movements basically). So, depending on the respective mosques, the opening visiting time slot(s) will often follow these timings. But, bigger "national" mosques like one in Putrajaya have a sort of separate visitors gallery that welcome non-adherents more casually.

Do you use SIM cards purchased in each country you visit for your phones. We just returned from 3 weeks in S Korea followed by 2 weeks in Singapore with a side trip to Kuala Lumpur. We used the T mobile overseas option. It’s the first time using this service where we experienced lots of buffering and poor on the run service. I found out when we got back that this service is run at 2-3G …it always worked great overseas in the past. disappointing. I’ve heard that the individual sims cards deliver 5G service. What is your experience?
@TalesFromOurPocket Жыл бұрын
Individual sims are the way to go! E-sims work well, too, if your phone is compatible and you don't need a local phone number. Sometimes we're finding e-sims to be less expensive but often times it's not. We research it before we arrive somewhere - sometimes the physical local sim cards are available in special tourist options that you can get right at the airport. I want to say in Malaysia we used physical sims. In Singapore, we've done a mix. The speeds have been fantastic. 👍
