Fabric that does not form fit or cling and preferably with a print or pattern on it also really helps.
@kevint191111 ай бұрын
I agree with both these observations. A slightly to moderately loose shirt will reduce printing and make it easier to draw. A pattern like plaid tends to hide the shape of any slight bulge. I don’t think stripes would work as well as other patterns but I don’t really wear them so I could be wrong.

100%! It isn’t covered as much as it should be, but I actually think fabric choice is much more important than size. An oversized, thin, clingy T-shirt prints much worse on me than a more form fitting shirt made from a more “rigid” fabric.

Hardest part of concealed carry with the weapon conformed to the body is the ability to draw it quickly enough to win the day. If I use the wedge, it increases the difficulty and time to get the weapon out and into action.

My EDC is a standard P365 with nothing added. At first I tried a number of holsters and various wedges and claws. The wedges and claws push and rotate the grip as advertised but they add overhead to the dimensions of the rig, resulting in bulging and pressure points in the areas of the claws and wedges. Running this setup with the appropriate clothing will mask the bulging. I found that running a rigid, reinforced belt with my AIWB rig performs much better than the claws and wedges, and with a tuckable clip, is virtually invisible behind a tucked, button down shirt. You may not be able to pull this off with a larger rig. This setup is comfortable to the point where I don’t bother to remove it until I’m ready to retire at the end of the day. FWIW, I’ve found that the reinforcement inside these belts last around a year with daily use.

A TXC X1 Pro holster conceals my Glock 48 at the appendix location better than any holster I’ve tried. The secret is the Helix clip. It eliminates the need for a concealment “wing”. The built in wedge along with the extreme angle of the clip pushes the rear of the slide inward. And also, the other angle of the clip pushes the grip inward. I’m a 6’ 150 pound guy…and I carry in jeans and t shirt always…… no one has a clue. I understand everyone thinks they’ve created the best holster, but why? Most are all alike. All I can say is…. More likely; you make a whole bunch of people nervous, possibly cause alarm and police response.
