This mother of three was bear hugged from behind and slammed on her head by a suspected robber who followed her for 24 miles before carrying out the attack. Here are 3 bear hug defenses everyone should learn. 🙏🏼

Very dangerous piece of advice. If you are less strong than your opponent never let him grasp you.

You would want to make sure that you slide out quickly and fully alright, as there is the possibility of getting caught in a choke while attempting to do so.

Advice like this for women is actually dangerous because it makes them think they'd have a fighting chance. Weapons and situational awareness are what women need for self defense, not choreographed unrealistic martial arts scenarios.
@jrvazbakerboy
@jrvazbakerboy 7 ай бұрын
All these scenarios are horribly unrealistic. When someone grabs you they are going to follow up with some type of controlling movement that you will also have to counter. If you’re a woman, youd have to be professional fighter grade to have the reflexes and response time to do any of this and also hope your attacker isn’t multitudes stronger than you. Im a fairly trained and relatively stronger than average guy and if a male is able to get my back in a fight much less an ambush, even im at a horrible disadvantage. Average woman stands no chance

@TheRealMadDogMac
@TheRealMadDogMac 7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, studies show the majority of people ignore screams for help, and even turn their head and ignore violent assaults happening right in front of them. They used to teach people to yell, “Fire” instead, in hopes that would garner more attention, and it does, but people still will fail to interject themselves into the situation. Look up stories about things that happen on the NY subway. I understand your issue is probably the same as most, going to the ground, and I understand. It’s better than doing nothing. I think the point is to seek out training so that you feel comfortable in this situation.

@@etchediniron4249 Not sure who this is in reply to… ? The point I was making to the OP was that I think the point of this video IS to train so that you are prepared, not to rely on a 60 second video, but that this video is simply to give you some insight into what you can be confident doing with training. The video even says something about finding a local place to train. Edit: even the title says 3 Bear Huf Defenses everyone should LEARN… it does not imply that this video is going to teach them to you; simply demonstrate them to you & urge you to find a local training center to learn them.
