I have all 3 and i think the GX-80 is the most impressive sounding because of the number of layers, the 2nd would be the model 77, the arturia being a little dull

The Model 77 sounded the clearest, and the GX 80 sounded gorgeous. To tell the truth, I recently purchased a GX 80, but the settings are complicated and I was wondering if I should switch to the Model 77, so this video was very helpful. Thanks.

Model 77 Sounds excellent. I've been listening to the Deckards dream synthesizer which is a modern hardware version of the CS-80 and the hardware is very similar to the Softube Model 77. The Arturia CS-80 is not bad. Not fussed about the Cherry audio, the sound of the oscillators/filters seem a little harsh to me. I would turn off the reverb on the presets and play them through a high quality reverb plugin or better still record them with a hardware reverb like a Mercury X. That would give the closest to the original CS-80 played by Vangelis.

Great Video!! I think that for this particular patch, the Model 77 wins!! I especially love what the polyphonic aftertouch does on the 77; very musical and expressive. Also, the tone of the 77 sounds more 'analog' (to me) with respect to this patch!! 🙂👍

Personally I think the Model 77 hits very much like the original! but all of them have such a sound that you cant not have all of them!

mmmm..... vwry difficult! I think in this moment I would choose GX-80, but because I've had it longer. The new arrival Model 77 is really very beautiful, so the choice would be very difficult!

You can choose the level and it's depend also from the keyboard setting.

oups it's seem's you use the channel AFT instead of PolyAT ! see a 4:56 ! to really compare this synth, you have to use a KB very closed to the real CS80 , for ex the HyndraSynth , witch have the same ribbon and a TRUE polyAFT !! witch can reproduce the exact nuances and expressivity of the CS80 (it's particulary true with the CS80V). with a channel AFT it's not possible. si it's not comparable.
