Good video. Could you go a little more in-depth on a video of how you look at a lake map. And determine drop offs or the flats how big of an area to look for? Also does the way the sun shine effect fishing locations? Thanks. Keep up the good work. Tight lines!
@calebwistad2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And yes. That’s in my plans for the future here.
@calebwistad2 жыл бұрын
And yes. The sun does effect things. Certain shallow water clear fisheries I like to use hole covers or slush in my holes to keep the sun out.

Hello I am fishing a private lake in Ohio that has a max depth of 25 feet and has some back coves with some weeds I found a couple gills on my camera but I know there is a ton of them in the lake but I am wondering what should I look for in the lake? Should I fish the back coves or the main lake? And would you recommend fishing at night for these fish? How do you find the edge of the weed lines? Great video by the way 👍🏻
@calebwistad2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a cool lake! Do you get ice there? If so, I would definitely try the deepest part of the lake in the main lake. Bluegills often suspend out in the lake basin in the winter time. If you don’t find them there, the weed line is the next best location. I would keep using that camera and checking different spots in the weeds to see if you can find some bigger ones.
@funnynader91492 жыл бұрын
@@calebwistad yes we have about 7 inches of ice out there I just ordered a flasher also I will go out and see if I can find a basin I will also keep looking through the weeds thank you so much for the help if I have any other questions I will let you know

What lb test line do you recommend for panfish? I’m overwhelmed with options
@calebwistad Жыл бұрын
Great question! I personally love 2lb test cold-weather flourocarbon on an in-line reel for an all-around panfish line for jigging small tungsten jigs and micro spoons. If I'm using larger rattlebaits, heavier spoons or glidebaits I will typically go up to 3 or 4lb on a spinning reel.
