Excellent video as usual. Among all the YT clips about training for endurance running, yours by far make the most sense and easy to follow. Keep up the good work.

Bless you, thanks a lot. I learnt a lot of things from your explanation as a middle and long distance coach.

Awesome video!! I found that there wasn’t very many helpful videos on how to do form drills properly - a lot of people demonstrating the drills, but nobody was explaining the PURPOSE of each of them. I hired a sprinting coach to work 1-on-1 with me and it’s one of the best things i’ve EVER DONE for my distance running!! Highly recommend it.. more than I would recommend super shoes

Is it ok to add weight training after a run?

Interesting that you don't think VO2 max can be improved much through training. I've been reading Petter Attia's book 'Outlive' where he says that it is very amenable to training: ""How trainable is VO2max? The conventional wisdom, reflecting the bulk of the literature, suggests that it's possible to improve elderly subjects' aerobic capacity by about 13 percent over 8 to 10 weeks of training, and by 17 percent after 24 to 52 weeks… That's a good start, but I think it represents only the beginning of what is possible."

I'm also reading his book. It's great! But that's a relatively small percentage improvement considering that lactate threshold and economy can be improved by vastly higher numbers. If you truly want a sky high VO2 Max, pick the right parents!

17% is nothing to take lightly. Everyone would benefit greatly by a 17% boost in VO2max. I also agree with you, that if you are training intervals at least once or twice a week at threshold, that will take care of your VO2max, so no need to measure or think about it. It will just automatically be trained with interval work
