I agree. You can tell, because they went back to an earlier system in later games. Usually devs won't do that unless there's a reason. Clearly they figured out that the Heavy Rain system was far more intuitive. But that's okay! They were trying something new with Beyond, which is admirable. Some of it worked, some of it didn't - that's part of the process.

Look I also forgot that Jodie had healing powers and let Paul die by accident - it's not something you use very often. Maybe like five times in the entire game. So I don't blame them. Also to be fair, at that moment you're kinda more focused on saving everyone in the house by defeating the literal demon.

Yeah, no. When I played this, I immediately knew as well that the guys in the bar were gonna try to assault her. The second I saw them, something in my gut went "Get out". On that note, I adore how much fun Bryan has punishing everyone who does Jodie wrong lmao. "I don't wanna die" "Then you'd better get out of here, before I find a candle!" And the Aiden monster voice he uses is a fantastic touch. That is now my canonical voice for Aiden.

Man, I didn't get the rape-y scene in Heavy Rain because I got that girl out of Evil Gramps' house ASAP so I was freaking out when I got this scene- like I wanted to nope out of there way sooner and I didn't like not having control over that. If it were me, I would get to a phone and call my friends. If they didn't answer I would LEAVE.

Ikr, in my first playthrough I didn't even drink the lemonade (I was too afraid of my drink being spiked), I just got up and left the bar. In my second playthrough I wanted to make different choices to see the different outcomes, so I stayed in the bar and it really sucks that the game doesn't actually do what you want to and you are forced to sit through all that shit (especially as a girl it made me feel so sick and uneasy, that's our reality not just a game), like Amelia did I also pressed "NO", I didn't want to play with those creeps.. but the game doesn't listen to you and Jodie ends up playing with them anyway and from that point you just can't avoid them nor avoid the rape-y scene... I'm just glad that at least the predators got killed and didn't just run away. This is typical of David Cage, there are always creeps in his games

Aww. That makes me happy to see people like this Navajo chapter scene in this game. I watched a similar game play-through when it first came out. I laughed so much throughout this scene. I am Navajo and this chapter had a bad representation of the Navajo culture. . . . ESPECIALLY, the language, horribly pronunciation. That's why I laughed so much throughout parts of this chapter. (Bryan and Amelia are playing the "updated" version of this game which--NOW--has 2 Navajo voice actors in it for Paul and Jay. Before it didn't have any Navajo people when I researched it. Only White people actors voiced the Navajo characters. I could really tell. I could also feel like the Game Makers didn't involve Navajo people when they develope this game so they could have the CORRECT representation of the Navajo people. Parts of it, not all of it. . . Oh well.)
