I'm Jim Carter, 74 and am an obvious experienced golfer. Summer here in Northern Michigan is the only opportunity we get to play. We have a Senior golf day at the local club, which by the way is over 100 years old and a great course. You asked about raise and rise. The difference is bread rises, and you raise children. So you would raise the club handle. Really enjoy your tips and golden nuggets as they have helped me in reducing my lost golf balls. I am now not so often in the woods or water so I have taken the fishing pole and rifle out of my golf bag. Recently purchased the Maxvert 2 driver and can't wait to try it out.

Thanks I’m a UK nine handicap senior - came across your channel a couple of years ago - always great tips and these are just the ones I’m after having realised I’ve lost a few yards off the tee and suffering from exactly the problems you described - many thank!

When referring to the golf handle during a driver swing, you typically use "raises" or "lifts" to describe the motion of the handle moving upward.

The high hands is what resonates with me. I do not slice, I'm a pull hook miss. The low hands gets me stuck, stalled then flipped causing the hook. The last time I tried to get my hands directly over my shoulder worked wonders!! One thing for others I saw Xander Schauffle talk about was "over tilting." He says amatures are told to tilt so often that they OVER tilt. If you skip your driver off the ground...you are possibly over tilted. Do as Todd says here and just bump your hip forward. If your ball is in the correct poistion forward, you will have your tilt you need.

Greetings from St Petersburg, FL. I have better control of the club if I lower my grip a little bit. Your thoughts?

For the Americans, when you raise the handle the handle rises.

The word is to ‘elevate’ or ‘lift’ the driver handle.
