Hollow Knight has this wonderful moment you're right in the midst of when almost the whole game opens up, every area you explore diverges to several more areas, and you're given an almost overwhelming number of options Also, the Deepnest spa is probably one of my favorite game design traps. If you'd came into deepnest more unprepared, having missed the map or not yet having lantern, then you would have noticed that sitting on the spa bench traps you in deepnest. After sitting at that bench you won't escape deepnest by dying or closing the game, and you can't backtrack up the pit, so the only way to get out of deepnest is to climb back out of it through forgotten tramway; which can be quite the endeavor if you're missing lantern, map, or both. Towards the end of your 2nd Hollow Knight stream I actually mentioned the secret wall that could have led to the "trapped in dark deepnest" experience, tho you ended stream before finding it. Probably for the best, lol
