Hi Cassandra. Thank you for this video. I am 34 years old and have never done anything to my face apart from cleanser and face cream. Always been reserved to trust media but after watching your videos I am happy to hear that my logic was right all along! However I wanted to ask about the microcurrent device. Do you recommend it? I got bit confused if it will make more wrinkles? I smile a lot and want to improve my smile lines. Genetically all my family has them so it's a charm too. Want to stop them from getting deeper. Many thanks 😊 🙏

I wonder how old you are? When I was in my 20, 30 even 40 I felt the same way. I did use a simple routine and I did use SPF but not like I now because I didn't know what we know now. At 62 I feel differently I hate the hyperpigmentation on my face. I hate the deep wrinkles on my forehead and my pores which have gotten bigger as I age. It makes my makeup harder to apply and look good. Plus unfair as it is women often get maralinzed when we get up in age. So anti ageing is important to many women's emotionally health.

J.Marlene, I’m on 0.1 percent Tazarotene for acne. That’s the most irritating and powerful topical retinoid in use today, with worse side effects than tretinoin. I struggled with acne for eight years and was on differin for two years and nothing completely got rid of it. I’ve been on tazarotene for a month now and it’s helping so much, but I still get acne and I still get red bumps on my face. It’s going to take a few more months for it to completely get rid of my acne, but I honestly don’t care anymore. I can have acne and still have healthy skin.

Carol Gibson, I understand that. I’m only 19 so I don’t know what it’s like to have wrinkles but I definitely caused myself photodamage (which is finally healing) when I was younger and into tanning. I’m definitely going to continue using daily sunscreen, and using retinoids, but I’m not going to buy things BECAUSE of anti-aging claims. I feel that that only adds to the stress associated with skin issues. I’m just going to do what’s healthy for my skin, and reap the benefits without stressing.

@@brekke668 I consider it a protest of female beauty standards to just take care of my skin and not worry about signs of aging, similar to focusing on being healthy instead of being thin. My mother has absolutely beautiful skin despite never being much into skincare and not at all being interested in anti aging. She's just always focused on enjoying life, she avoids the sun when she's outside, drinks lots of water, has been a vegetarian since she was about 30. I think we women need to start coming together and supporting each other in focusing on our physical and mental health and our hobbies, interests and goals that don't relate to beauty. Those are all so much more important than how we look.

I agree with everything except for the face yoga. The exercises you showed are nonsense, there are no benefits from them. I am doing a face yoga for four years and I saw results already after two weeks, the face was visible lifted. I massage my face with the oil and my hands only. The secret is to do opposite movements that your face does automatically without thinking, you can really balance your face by massaging specific points on your face, you can even get rid of the headaches or stress. There are many techniques and people are doing that for ages like acupuncture. I believe in that, because it works for me, I can see results in my "before" and "after" pictures.

You need to adjust to your skin, it should feel good, relaxing, like a morning meditation and you should see results (take a picture before and after). I started to see it after two weeks and I was very surprised (I didn't expected to see it so soon) I did it religiously every single day 15 to 30 min (time depends on what you are trying to achieve and your age, I am 48 so I need 30 min, if you are 20+ you can get away with only 5-10 min yoga) every morning. Dear Cassandra, I never thought I would see one video of you where I have to call you out. And since you're always asking your viewers to call you out when someone disagrees, I'd like to point out that you didn't do a very good research on that face yoga movements. These are nonsense and scare me. The term face yoga is unfortunately often used as a blanket and it could be misleading since it is also often standing for massaging your face, doing lymphatic drainage, doing korugi etc which in my opinion are very useful exercises if you do them correct. You presenting face yoga the way you did could potentially scare off people of doing further research on that topic. But since I myself have been sculpting my face for the last three years I can guarantee you do get visible results with certain massage techniques . And since you're always spreading the awareness on spending your money consciously which is so amazing btw, it would've been amazing have you shown the affordable alternative to Nuface which is Gua Sha. I am aware that Nuface speeds up the results but Gua Sha does just the same job only slower but it is affordable and gives you good arm muscles over the years as well ;) I am sorry if my tone is off or my grammar is not on point, english is my fifth language. Other than my critique I really appreciate the work you're doing! Thank you so much

I've had good and bad ones at Clinics, she is just advising us with her knowledge and what she believes doesn't work for her. If Nuface was rubbish it wouldn't be a best seller.

@wassermelonification4 жыл бұрын
@@julieperez9219 I never said that I disagreed with her point as a whole I just commented on her understanding about facial yoga, which is completely different from mine apparently. But it doesn't mean that I missed the point it just means I have a different opinion. It's not wrong, it's just MY opnion. I just think it's a bit rude to assume that I didn't hear what she was actually saying. I am very happy there are people like Cassandra on this unfortunately mainly toxic platform. I'm just a bit biased when it comes to Face Yoga because not only did it change my whole face shape it also relieved me from a lot of health issues I've been having for years. And how amazing would it be when people would just research this topic more and be more open minded towards these methods even if it's just for beauty reasons! Women wouldn't run to surgeons to get botox into their face in their early 40-ies. So the only issue I was having was Cassandra kind of ridiculing face yoga in the way that could potentially scare people off to dive deeper and find for themselves if it works or not. And since she has a huge platform she should've done better job at researching face yoga instead of showing a couple of weird face movements and claiming those as facial yoga. This was not a good representation of face yoga at all. And I don't see how it was me "missing a point" But thank you for your comment I like to practice my english and working on expressing myself precisely :) have a good day, I hope my reply wasn't too much

1) Face tape is an Excellent and Safe way for seniors to look great for a very special occasion like at their grand kids wedding. And if you use it correctly (usually by a professional makeup artist) you cut the excess tape off so it does not pull hair. 2) You’re misrepresenting Face yoga. It works great and so does the electric stim you showed. Just like the rest of the body we tend to become very toned in one direction and weak in the opposite direction. So in the case of strong frown muscles we pull our mouth down and our brow together even when we don’t mean to because those muscles have more tone than their smiling counterparts. Face yoga is not at all random or extreme in its movements like you described. It targets the smile muscles to firm up the face in an upward direction. But the electric stim is the lazy way and that’s why I like it more. I’m much more likely to use a wand than do actual face therapy. 3) Im not sure of the ingredients in the moon milk you are referring to but I use hot Milk honey cinnamon and nutmeg. The milk has tryptophan, the raw honey releases serotonin that converts to something else I can’t remember what, the nutmeg is a sedative. Taken a half hour to hour before bed it should not cause acid reflux unless you are lactose intolerant. And if you are sleeping properly and deeply your body releases an anti diuretic that will shut down urine production until a half hour before you wake in the morning. If you are waking in the night to pee you are not sleeping well. I wake far less on nights I make my sleep drink. I used to wake 7 times a night, but now only once. The eye mask is super helpful and I use silicon swimmers ear plugs so all I hear is my heartbeat. In short if a remedy has worked from the beginning of time across many cultures it is probably pretty sound advice at least to try. P.S. I love the silicone stickers. I where the one on my forehead at night. And when I go for my morning walk it fits under my hat. Keeps me from squinting into the sunshine. :)

I was just about to comment the same. Any facial exercise is great IF you move the actual muscles (not just stretching, pulling the skin). It's amazing. When I did it religiously daily (and ate well, did outdoor exercise), I changed so much for the better that my neighbours walked me by, didn't recognize me. A few highlights in your hair and you literally have a whole new look in a matter of weeks. After a just a few days or a week you will feel the muscle working (not the first time, just like with any other other workout, it takes a little time to actually FEEL you have Abdominal muscles and yes it hurts when you start, you will definitely feel the tightening in your face, it's because you do it right!). Just look at the people who play instruments such as the trumpet, they all have bouncy cheeks, - yes we still going to age, you won't end up with a "different face" but visibly firmer, smoother & volumous..... besides, truth be told, nothing ages you more the EATING RIGHT BEFORE BED TIME. That will visibly make the skin/face look older and you won't be rested. Once you decide to stop eating after 17:00 'o clock or sevenish at the latest, you will have results VERY fast.. add a bit of face workout toning exercises, one celery juice (or just celery added to your meals, salads) and Voilá.. you'll have clear pores and a more defined face in just a week. Keep going with it, you'll end up with a great facial routine, that you'll able to incorporate into your days - while cooking or getting dressed, don't have to sit down like in the beginning until you are learning - and you'll be surprised how VISIBLY firmer your face will look. Try adding a few eye exercises too, just going round and round ever so gently... I promise you, it delivers. xx..

However, you are right about the microcurrent devices; they are even better than face yoga. If getting micro current treatment is too expensive, one could try to just hold positions isometrically.

In addition to having to overhaul my entire diet, I'm on a prescription medication. If I miss even one day, it feels like I'm being eaten from the inside out. You do NOT want GERD. Microcurrent definitely works. I use the Clareblend Mini and it works like a charm. The secret is to use it regularly. Using a microcurrent with the right skin care products packs a one-two punch.

Just for a quick note about sleep - waking up in the middle of the night is pretty common, actually most people do have waking moments between sleep cycles. Those who don't think they have them essentially just don't remember them. There is evidence tha the entire amount of quality sleep you get is more important than doing the 8-hour in a row... So if you usually wake up at night, please don't feel worry or stressed about it. :) Otherwise loved the whole video, thank you for explaining things throw biology and science, so refreshing to find pages like yours on KZbin

i use mine with a facial oil (you’re supposed to do it that way) and it doesn’t pull or tuck at my skin a lot. It massages it lightly and due to the friction, I see immediate improved circulation (aka redness for a few minutes). But a lot of influencers use it on dry skin and therefore pull quite heavily.. not a good idea
@lirosespurposefullove54224 жыл бұрын
It does not lift the face, it only aids in lymphatic drainage. I use mines on a dry face and go back and forth between my fingers and roller to stimulate my lymph nodes. It works to depuff your face, clear nasal congestion and acne congestion and speeds healing. A face-lift will not be the result, microcurrent however will give that result. Way to know you have stimulated you lymphatic system is swallowing alot and your neck throbbed around your collar bone.

The nuface scientific evidence is paid for by the company so I’m not convinced. I’ve used it and I notice a difference, but I question if it’s long term results- because you have to continue doing it 5x a week. You can feel the little vibrations. But realize if you do your face and neck, it’s going to take 15 minutes each day you do it. And if you skip it for a few weeks, you’ve got to start from scratch. Basically, I got tired of counting that I did all off the spots 3 times for each section. I may start using it again. Definitely wait for it to go on sale.

Completely agree, randomized currency is definitely a factor - just like 'changing up'our weights/reps in resistance traing makes our muscles more responsive - using randomized current in our micro-current device just makes sense. There may be proven science behind this, idk for sure, but plenty of anecdotal evidence to prove its beneficial effect on muscle response, as well as stimulating growth factor hormones. The best, most knowledgeable weight lifters will advise us to 'keep our muscles guessing by upping weights, then lowering weight, upping reps, then lowering reps, etc. . It's especially useful in breaking thru a plateau. Makes perfect sense, IMO. that using randomized current in a facial M/C device, keeps our muscle more responsive than if we were not randomizing the current.

I don't think you understand what face yoga is. Face yoga prevents the facial skin from SAGGING and nothing else. Some people do it to make their faces look more symmetrical, some other do it to fix their double chins, puffy under eye areas, heavy cheeks and general sagging eyelid skin. It's just to help the muscles underneath get trained and lift up a little. If that reinforces wrinkles, so be it, that's okay. Wrinkles can then be targeted with other things, such as oil massage and retinol. Plus 15 minutes is a gross exaggeration, it's 2 minutes max, give or take. I mean I love keeping my face energized and active with my OWN movements rather than buying super expensive devices that send electrical whatever into my skin. That sounds like replacing normal exercise with those vibrating gym belts people used to use to get abs. Smh.

I love, loooove my NuFace. It's made such a huge difference in my 47 year old skin, especially in my brow/lid and smile. I'm not going to lie, it's a costly investment, but totally worth it. However, QVC has it on sale at least once a year with free shipping and six interest free easy pays. I bought mine about two years ago and it came with the regular attachment (like the one she had) and a smaller attachment that's specific for eyes and lips (kind of looks like intennas) and four large tubes of the microcurrent gel, which has hylauronic acid which helps pumps the skin. I used mine daily (or twice a day on some days) for two weeks and then weekly thereafter. I run into people that I don't see often and they always ask if I've had some kind of procedure because my skin looks pretty decent for my age.

Identical to the more expensive SiO minus the collagen (which if you watch her videos you know putting collagen topically doesn't exactly work) but for half the price. Feulovers has a 16 pc set for under $25 that treat brow, smile lines, under eye and crows feet, lips, and chin. SiO set the treats brow, under eye, smile line, and neck is $50. I haven't tried either yet but just ordered and the Feulover reviews were much better than SiO on Amazon.

Tired of hearing about the silicon skin patches. All of the KZbinrs really promoting them usually are getting kick backs. It’s evident. Disappointing. Frownies were around for years and we used them in the beauty/dermatology industries to flatten the 11’s before Botox, etc.. But for the most part these are temporary. Don’t waste your money. Keep it simple and stay with the big guys: C serum, retinoids/retinol, HA, Niacinamide (if it works for you), sunblock, peels, micro needling, sleep, great hydration. Add in some Botox and peels and laser when needed. 😊👍
