Hey brother! Nice job of roasting your bell 🫑. That looks better than a lot of meals that come out of fully equipped kitchens. Great job!

I listened to this one while I drove but I was able to watch the work on the pepper while I waited for my buddy to get off work, very nice. I'm going to watch it again now that I'm home. Just because a guy is in the wild doesn't mean he's limited to what he can cook. And as I finished up typing my thought the doorbell rang and the postman put the box with my trekker in my hands....YES lol

Yea, I was thinking the pepper wouldn't get enough heat fast enough on the top of the chimney. After the water boiled, the flames were perfect for that part. As always, thanks for the vids.

It was all fine in theory! Ah well, know for next time. The blackened skin did add a bit of flavour to the sauce so not all bad. And of course I know for next time. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Neil

I apologize if you already know, but it turns out you can use those char coal heat beads in the KK, I saw another site and they used them, they may come in handy for longer cooking without needing to use more fuel, and also reduce ash choking up the base, I only just ordered mine so I am looking up recipes and ways to cook.

Thanks for checking out more of my videos. I have yet to try charcoal in the KK. We have charcoal briquettes over here but looking online the heat beads seem to have very good review.

Been enjoying ur site given me lots ideas thanks. I love cooking w my kellykettle/ hobo stove. More so with ur recipes. Loved d sweet potato one. Hint..... use an old baileys mini bottle for oil rather than that toxic spray stuff. TASTES better, especially for the dirty rice in USA

Thank you. Awesome to hear when someone has been inspired. That’s a great idea regarding cooking oil. I’m not a fan of waste and single use plastic. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that sooner.

Yeah I like em because they r small, don't leak and dark colour so oil doesn't get too much light. Not that it lasts long, but does me 3 day away

🤣👏👏👏‼️well done, that’d be a ‘fancy meal’ in most folks houses and you make it out in the field!! I see there are a few different ‘complete kits’ for Kelly Kettle, mainly centring around the size of the body. I can’t see me needing the ‘Basecamp’ one, the ‘scout’ package looks just about right for my needs 🏕🔥😎👍. I commend your ecological preservation, all those chilli seeds going into the waste, not just tossed away in the scrub as ‘biodegradable’. Have you ever had a look at ‘Cowboy’ Kent Rollins channel? He does a lot of ‘chuck wagon’ cooking.

Thank you! It tasted so good I’d be happy if I’d have paid for it in a restaurant 😋. There are three different sizes, as you say dependent on the kettle size. The smallest is ideally suited to one person and the accessories (pots etc) are in proportion. With the scout and the base camp dimensions are the same except the height of the kettle which is where the base camp gets it’s capacity from. I have the scout which I find ideal for my needs. As your not meant to boil them dry, I wouldn’t have use for the base camps capacity and would be boiling water for the sake of it, fine if it’s river water but I wouldn’t want to carry such a volume on my back. TBH it boils so quickly anyway, if I ever needed more than the scout can hold I’d just boil it again 😂. Always leave no trace! 😊 Cowboy Kent is great! I love watching his videos!

That looked excellent especially given you are out in the woods. if you don't mind me asking what size opinel are you using? I've never considered one before but I see you using it to great effect in your videos and I'm quite taken by it. looks ideal for outdoor cooking!

Thank you. It was delicious. Of course you can ask! It is a number 12 in carbon steel. I’ve had it for many years know but it’s a great knife. Very sharp, and yes, perfect as a field cooks knife. Thanks for checking out this video. Hope you’ve enjoyed other videos I have too.

Hi. Firstly thanks for watching. That’s the first time I’ve been asked about the jacket! The jacket is a Hunters Jacket made by Jack Pyle. I have owned this for around eight or nine years. Really impressed with it. It’s waterproof but doesn’t rustle like a normal waterproof. Just checked out their website and they still make it now. www.jackpyke.co.uk/products/hunters-jacket Thanks again. Neil
