Thanks for the update. As always, very concerning subjects.

I am a member of a church security team. I appreciate all your videos and advice. We go through training scenarios at our church and have to qualify with our handguns at least once a year. We get training from NRA and USCCA instructors. I am always looking to get better, so I appreciate all you do for our church security teams! Thank you, God bless!

It's good to discuss these scenarios. These style events are not new in the USA. But we know many folks that never expect bad stuff. True, door control/management is a key part of all facilities.

I lead our security ministry which consists of maybe 6-7 core individuals and maybe 5 or 6 others who fill in as eyes and ears. This past Saturday we held an All Volunteers Guest Services Preparedness Training session. As the name implies we included all volunteers who wanted to attend. In this training I started with a couple of YT videos outlining de-escalation tactics to set a framework and then we ran security footage of a disruptive congregant we had the previous Sunday. While my core team focused on being on the pin I instructed those throughout the rest of the sanctuary tasks they could easily provide to greatly help and free up the core members to better asses and address the disruption. The LORD gave us the actual disruption event which was an enormous help since we now had the security footage to assess and show was was good and what was bad in our unrehearsed response. After the videos and explanations and a lot of Q&A we practiced a live action scenario close to the previous real event. The effort paid off as most everyone followed the principles which gave a much cleaner and less chaotic response. The training will continue possibly on a monthly basis as the LORD leads.

Lots of domestic violence in broken people’s lives who attend church. Easy for the church eldership to be blamed for helping couples, parents grappling with these complex issues. Church leadership should alert staff to any angry and possibly violent spouses. We had angry man, formerly involved in church leadership, stalking his family while they attended services.

What are listeners doing as far as civilian accessible body armor mitigation means? Yes, groin/lower ab & head shots are considerations but under stress are difficult.

It is so sad that our world has come to this. I pray for anyone that was involved. Jesus is coming soon.
