So Captain poop-pants is a former cop. Why am I not surprised? I would not follow his advice to be grabbing people who he dislikes in church. How do I block his videos from appearing in my searches? Maybe if I give thumbs down on all of them?

How do I block this youtuber from coming up on my searches? Man was shot in the back. A common false claim from police is "oh he tried to grab my gun".

Placing hands on some one is assault and may result in violence, bodily injury, or a slugfest in your church. Keep your hands to yourself.

Just started a security team, looking for advice on how to improve them

Joe, our church does not have a "security closet" per se, for security purposes, we have different sectors. I co chair our security/safety ministry. I took the first aid kit from a corner back in our kitchen and added a total of 4 first aid stations, with new signs indicating the location of each one. I added Narcan, tourniquets to each one. We have Active Shooter Training coming up along with CPR/AED, and Safe Worship formal training. I have plans of getting an NAMI instructor in to talk about mental illness and autism training. I dont feel that a person carrying legally should be questioned as to wht and why they are legally carrying in church or anywhere elso. It is not a tactical thing it is a constitutional thing. I can shoot fairly well and I know enough to know what is behind a target and vwhen too shoot and not shoot. Practice is important and common sesce gun control is a must.

Touching the person unless it's an immediate safety issue may not be a good idea. Unwanted touching in our state is assault and battery. Monitor and call the cops.

i recommend using field tested spray products or any gear for that matter. a great resource is active self protection. and from the research (and personal experience) sabre red 3 in 1 spray is about as good as you're gonna get. it covers at least 90 percent of the human population as far as effectiveness goes. prime has them (or had) for like 12 bucks i think. fogs are for crowds especially in a more confined area where wind isn't an issue. streams are pretty much for one person use (which is what we would most likely have to deal with). the wind isnt as big a factor but accuracy is a must. recovery from fogs are a lot quicker than streams. gels aren't affected by the wind near as much. and the effects last longer. the biggest downside is you will get it on you if you have to goes hands on. it also will contaminate walls, floors and furniture for a lot longer than fogs or stream products. there's a reason most leo agencies don't use gels. but don't take my word for it just do like i did and study a bunch of footage channels like active self protection has. thanks a ton for your hard work sir. have a great day.

More to the point would be what’s causing parishioners to feel the need for this to begin with. Some people want to protect their church and church members and your first priority is to criticize them because they didn’t follow the proper red tape? 🙄

Let's Remember If we have broken one law it is as if we have broken them all. That does mean that if you told a single lie, you are as deserving of death as those who has killed, or even hates their neighbour. So we must stay clam and allow God to judge a righteous judgement. It is getting harder and harder not to reach out and hurt someone but we can't afford to allow violence to break out. Don't return with name calling as they do, but go your way and ignore it all. There is one thing that we all need to do and that is to reach out to God and find answers for the problems we face, from name calling to the violence. Or from bill problems to plagues. Every storm in life as an answer, we must just seek it. Each needs to protect their loved ones, home, neighbours and themselves. That is done with the armour of God. We know many say we don't have to keep the law, and they are right. But there comes a time when answers are needed and out of love for family and others that these answers must be found. What if our answer is found in the law? If God can show Israel safely from Egypt to the promised land can He see us through these days as they grow more and more evil? We are told to be doers of The Word. That doesn't mean just a third of it. It is said that if something is given to a person it will hold no value to them. That they need to work for it. The harder they work, the more valuable it is to them. But what if someone desperately needs what you have. You worked years for it and you know how great the value is, but the receiver won't. Would you give it to them knowing the odds are they will never use it or they may even just trash it? But what if someone was to give you the information so you can search it out for yourself so it will save you a lot of time, could you then appreciate it enough to use it? If we show you how to achieve the crown and sword of God would or could you finish seeking out the other six pieces to the armour of God? We are to be the salt of the earth, do we hide the salt or set it on the kitchen table. Or would you hide a lit candle or set it on a coffee table? So we show you how to receive your crown and your sword, it is found in Deut.6:8-9. And now what you do with it is up to you. Go be a doer and prove all things with The Word or do you just figure you got this and ignore it? If you are not yet convinced to search out the truth then maybe this will. Police officers and people working security need to learn to take their ego out of the equation. Deescalation training can help, also learning when to not take it personally and to just let something go. If the bad guy calls you a name or takes a lame swing at you, and especially if they taunt you and run away, just let them go. Old school law enforcement said that you had to teach them a lesson, maybe a little thumping, so they would respect you. That might feel good, but is not acceptable these days. The other thing I stress is that cameras are EVERYWHERE, fixed security cams and darn near everyone has a cell phone with a camera. If you do things correctly, that can be your friend. If you make a mistake and admit it, they can still help you. If you screw up and lie about, they will sink you. My best guess is that this reserve deputy became over involved in the moment. He did not go there looking to shoot someone. And, immediately afterward thought, "Oh my god, what did I do? What do I do now?" In that moment, he may even have thought he was justified. In the cold light of day, he made a big mistake and will pay for it for the rest of his life.

We never know when and where something will happen. Posting a guard or watchman on the outer perimeter will give us that few moments of needed intel that we can use to keep our church families safe. that's a NO to hired guns. the main reason is that you can't count on them cause they don't got skin in the game. cops especially cause they are in no way bound to keep anyone safe unless they put them in handcuffs so says the scotus. arm and train up members to patrol the parking lots and man the doors. inside the building around a bunch of folks blasters shouldn't be used only swarming like secret service and other personal protection teams do. cases to go check out is hinkley v regan and the very recent attack on the leader of slovkia. it's way faster and way more safe especially when we are talking either untrained, poorly trained or those trained very little. it's super easy to train folks to just grab the weapon and hang on i mean super easy. usually it only takes one to act and then others will follow. the second reason is even if they have the heart do they have the correct training to shoot a moving target in a room full of people? i'm gonna say NO they likely don't cause the vast majority of ranges don't allow it because they either don't have the infrastructure or their insurance just won't allow it. have a great day and thanks for the update sir.

So there's a gunfight in front of the church, that has nothing to do with the church! What are you going to do? The same thing your going to do in the store across the street! I'm not getting involved in somebody elses gunfight! I'm going for cover/concealment! After that if they come my way & poses a threat to me, then I'll take action!

I don’t go to church but I wish I could. My husband works on Sundays. He always carries his gun and it would make me feel safer going to church if he was with me. Will add the protection of churches in my prayers

I use the Cool Fire system for personal training. I plan on combining it with Mantis laser training to record my hits. Mantis for AR is solid, wish they made it for X95.

We use the Umarex T4E (Training for Excellence) O2 replicas with rubber balls. We built a ball catch target holder out of an old storage container and use the brightest colored balls so we can find wayward ones in the sanctuary. It’s actually a pretty good approximation of the real thing with very little cost over the initial purchase and consumables. We do have a laser alternative with a target app we can project for dry fire too. But it doesn’t offer any recoil or blowback simulation.

Have your team as well trained as possible. Routine scheduled training.
