Me thinks the Colonel is starting to get hooked to detailing 😁, why not,what you've done looks awesome 🙂
@Borgscan4 жыл бұрын
I suspect that the Colonel is a 'closet detailer', and by that I mean his desire to detail is shroaded by gruffly spoken phrases such as "I don't have the time to detail!" and "that not for me." Of course the Colonel may enjoy detailing closets and that's okay too!

Dunno if you care at this juncture in time, but if you look at ports, generally the cranes are furthest out into the harbor with freight yards behind them and up towards the mainland. In design, always think "how would a miserly tycoon squeak as much efficiency as possible out of this layout?" - from tunnels, to harbors, to making cities pay them to build bridges so traffic isn't a problem... EFFICIENCY! :D

Arou 25:30 you talk about the smoothing nd terrain editing tools and how you can only get blockylines. If you look at bottom rightofit you'll see different black shapes that represent various brushes. The circle with fuzzy edges on the left is a lot better when it comes to precision drawing natural landscapes without giving it that minecrafty sorta vibe.
@colonelfailure4 жыл бұрын
Those are the better tools for smoothing, but the game always tends towards the grid of squares. If you're off from grid alignment, tidy edging is challenging.

This speed version is certainly making the progress, Is there a mod which makes all the people were hats because come of the examples was very chick and fashionable, And as far as the golden rules are concerned colonel failure makes them up as he goes along so no change there, Also must be a lot of social distancing going on because not a lot of people wandering these streets and what happens if your shunting and get taken short? no rail infrastructure can't even have a sit down next to the track and eat my lunch especially if it's raining.

I have nothing against what the high detailers do but When I look at their stuff some of their stuff just does not feel like it fits in and I feel like being moderately detailed is much more fun I like your way better because it's the same way I do it And to me I just want things to look like they're lived in and have communities around them I can tell you where at least two endocrine should go at the front and two of the cranes should go at the back just for aesthetics that's just my opinion though and that's what I would do As long as we have a big boy sitting on a siding somewhere I will be happy waiting for his train to be put together by the small little diesels hehehe Looking cross

Nice city building! Also, did I only just now notice the Farm Simulator background music? Also, you know how to build a non-bumpy level crossing, right? As in: I don't need to tell anyone how to? Also: I should adopt this laughter when overcoming any of the still-prevailing shortcoming of these games, like it doesn't like curves of more than 180 degees...
@colonelfailure4 жыл бұрын
For a non-lumpy level crossing just ensure the neither the road or the track is anything other than flat. The challenge after that is to prevent the AI building any too close as that'll distort the flatness.
@jochenlippert23534 жыл бұрын
@@colonelfailure Exacrly. Some ways to do this: Build the road over the already perfectly flat track, or build the track from the road, not over it, even after you built the track over the road already this helps. But most importantly: Do the "I defeated the silly game logic" laugh :)

Even Google Image search suggest that even if they do exist, they must be incredibly rare, as I wasn't able to find one.
