The timing of this video was amazing. I was feeling discouraged because I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Looking back, I've achieved experience and improved over time. This video gave me a more positive mindset and encouraged me to try harder. Thanks a lot. Also, my honest opinion... Lee Chong Wei beating Lin Dan in the semi final in Rio must have felt like a bigger achievement to him; being able to subdue the pressure and play on. Keep up the great work!

Awesome video Jonathan! Definitely the "one step at a time" was a very important lesson for me. I remember entering one of my first local tournaments at the highest division which was "A". My level at the time was the lowest "D". But I was stubborn and didn't care, I thought I was already the best and that i didn't have to start at the lowest! Hahahaha😂😂😂 Now I have worked myself up to "A". After that it will be Future series, international series, international challenge, then moving up to bigger tournaments!

LCW (and we are all!) knew exactly that he should have won at LEAST one Olympic gold medal and one world championship medal! One reason preventing those is bcs LCW sometime tends to enjoy the game or shot too much and/or showing off his skill set rather than always focusing on the job done or winning the game. That's why he apologized! On the other hand, that attitude has helped him to become the longest no 1 player!

I agree to disagree. From what i have heard part of the problem i understand is theres a talent pool of shuttlers in malaysia and most of them chose to stay at state level. Reasons are they are paid to play and can have a regular job. Going pro is a gamble. Injuries, failure to make it. etc. While cancer may have made him hang up his rackets, its also his saving grace for his unrelenting spirit with its early discovery. After all his last chance for gold at world championships and Olympic was in 2016. 2020 was more of a hail mary attempt tbh. No doubt super dan have the luck of the lottery, LCW will be there always be the sportsman that stood up to mighty china alone. A fighter to the very end and for that he is always my favorite icon and number 1.
