@@bobbywu7701 nah bro, if you are talking bout a drive then maybe it will be an IN. But, our topic is about smash. If you smash right at he opponents' eye level it will definitely land OUT. Unless you are up against a dwarf.

That hip area is indeed very hard to defend against especially from a big smasher who disguises where he's smashing also a fast smash in to the chest and face area can also be affective to an opponent at the rear. Great video

Great video! and another situation to smash mid is that your opponent did a good return but you don't want to quit attacking. it will be less risky~

Good points :D One should also consider the advantage gained by not always trying as hard as you can. Most of the time a well placed smash with 70 % power will get you a lot more points than just a hard smash. Especially if you do the cross court smash :D

Please explain, in a video, who should return a smash when a smash is attacking down the middle in a doubles match. Everyone assumes whomever is forehand should swing at it. If it is a cross court smash aimed at me, I don't see why my partner would get in the way of my block thus putting him out of position. This happens so often.

What about upper body around the head. is it good to smash there?
@SwiftBadminton6 жыл бұрын
Yep! this can be a really good mix up to the standard steep smash. It's for the same reason as the last one, it is quite awkward for the defender to get the racket there in time.

If you hit the shuttle and it's clearly out, is that a fault? I'm assuming the rally will just keep going......can't seem to find a definite answer to this
@abdullahahmad1845 жыл бұрын
Even if it's clearly going out, if the opponent touches shuttle with racket before it touches floor, rally continues.
