3-D Airbrushed and Stenciled Heart Box Cookie

Hi, everyone! As I mentioned in my last video where I introduced my “Roses Are Red” Dynamic Duos™ stencil sets, I’m now going to show you how to use those same sets to create a fully 3-D heart-shaped cookie box, perfect for weddings, bridal showers, Mother’s Day, and, of course, Valentine’s Day!
If you’ve watched any of my 3-D cookie videos, you probably know that 3-D work - just the shaping and baking of the pieces, not to mention the decorating - can be time-consuming and complicated. But, by using these stencils, you will greatly reduce the complexity of the decorating, and end up with a highly polished design in a relatively short period of time.
Now, if you’re a long-time viewer, you probably also know that I’ve made heart-shaped cookie boxes before. But, in all past instances, the size and shape of those boxes was constrained by the 6-inch heart-shaped baking pan over which I shaped and baked the box sides. But . . . no longer! In this video, I share a simple double-baking trick that will allow you to customize your heart-shaped box to any heart shape (fat or narrow) and to any size (large or small)!

1 (5 5/8 x 4 ½-inch), heart cookie, uniced, for base
1 (5 5/8 x 4 ½-inch), heart cookie, flooded with pale pink royal icing, completely dry, for lid
1 (3 x 2 ½-inch), heart cookie, flooded with white royal icing, completely dry, for lid top
2 (1 ¼ x 8-inch) contoured rectangles, for sides, pre-trimming
AIRBRUSH COLORINGS USED:
Chefmaster Harvest Brown, AmeriMist Electric Green, AmeriMist Avocado Green, AmeriMist Deep Pink, AmeriMist Maroon, and Spectrum Flow Sky Blue
ROYAL ICING COLORINGS* AND CONSISTENCIES:
Roses: Very thick royal icing (thicker than my “glue” consistency), tinted with AmeriColor Super Red with a touch of Super Black
Leaves: Thick royal icing, tinted with Chefmaster Moss
Borders: Beadwork-consistency royal icing, white and tinted with Chefmaster Baker’s Rose
*I use liqua-gel concentrated colorings to tint royal icing.

No. They approached me years ago to do videos (before they had any cookie decorators on their site), but I was traveling on book tour and had to cancel. Though I gave them many week's notice, they apparently have "blacklisted" me. Their revenue model has also changed substantially since then (not in the creator's favor), so I am not really interested in pursuing any Craftsy classes at this time. I do my own KZbin videos (as you know) and Zoom classes (as well as in-person classes), and that is all I can handle.
