I've made several types of masks since this whole thing started. This one, by far, gets an A+ rating from my teacher daughter. She has asked me to make several for her so she will be able to change each day. These are perilous times for teachers as well as students. Prayers for them all. Love your video. And you have the most beautiful hands. You should be a hand model - there used to be such a thing. :)

Easy to cut pattern and quick to sew. A suggestion to improve this and future tutorials. Use a plain fabric so the fabric's pattern doesn't confuse/distract. Use contrasting thread so we can easily see the stitch lines. Use two different color plain fabrics so we can better understand the folds.

I was just about to ask about this! Besides keeping everyone a bit safer, I hope, I think non-woven interfacing keeps a mask from wilting. I also press masks using spray starch. People have asked why the masks I made them smell so good. Faultless Spray Starch. In fact, Faultless is one of the reasons I took up quilting. Call my nutty. You wouldn’t be the first. ( I made the mistake of buying a different brand. I used it for a small area but I didn’t like the way it smelled.) And Spyrorocks346, this mask is so fun to make, I had a good time making the pattern! Thank you!

This looks nice! I'll have to try it. I sell masks at the local dispensary and I'm looking to add a few different designs. I can't keep up! I've sold around 500 masks to date! spyrorocks346 An easy way to add another l filtering” layer would be to use stabilizer/interfacing between the layers of fabric. As for the nose wire, add it 3/8” down from the top. I sewed around it to keep it in place (once I turned the mask right side out) worked great.

What a great, easy to follow tutorial. Thank you for actually showing how the mask fits on your face, most tutorials don't model the finished product, so it's difficult for the viewer to gauge the scale. I'm going to try this mask for my elderly father, who hasn't liked any of the several types of masks I've made for him so far. He doesn't like the fabric touching his mouth, says he can't breathe. Thank you, I hope you stay healthy.

I got there in the end - I didn't find it as easy as everyone else here (I'm not great at sewing!). The mask is a little small so I would make it bigger if I do this again. Also, a couple problems with the video: one, the video cuts in the middle of your sentence at 4.28 so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to stitch up the sides as well. Two, the fabric is beautiful, but it's hard to see to be sure which side you were talking about for folding the elastic loops.
