Excellent video Jess - thanks for sharing how you got into bushcraft and foraging this also explains your passion for fishing. The basket's looked great.

Great video Jess I’ve just swapped my prusiks on my ridge line to bank line as my last prusiks kept sliding . They don’t move now 😂😂 also taking the inners out of the cordage will help it grip better Hope everything went well for you with the work shop💪 Great camp in the woods🫡💪

I never thought of taking the inner strands out to improve grip! That’s a sick idea 🔥 workshop was amazing and they’ve invited me back next year to do other skills so I’m hyped for that See you in the woods brother 🔥 🫡

@@Jess_Outdoors637 glad you had a great time the baskets you showed looked pukka💪 with the prusik generally they should be of a thinner cordage to get a better grip but taking the inners out works better I think. It’s Great they invited you back next year💪 It must of went well🤣🤣 catch on the next one 🫡

Be careful using small diameter bank line, I cut right through my paracord ridgeline during a windstorm once.

Those baskets would look nice with 6 eggs in and sitting in the kitchen .U may know but eggs have a bloom that covers then as the mother lays. This bloom protects from bacteria etc and seals the egg. So backyard eggs don't need a refrigerator. However, by law, the bloom must b washed off commercial eggs. This makes them porous, and all manner of bacteria virus can enter.

@@alexanderwright9064 I didn’t know this! Perhaps I should try cooking eggs in a fire or on a rock some as that something I’ve not done yet. Everyone used their baskets for foraging for mushrooms and leafy greens which was awesome!

@Jess_Outdoors637 The Temp where I live is av 39 to 43 degrees c at the moment in shade 50c or so in full sun. Monsoon is coming in a few weeks. I can put a commercial egg in the sun in the shell for about 1 hour or so, and it will cook in the shell. A bit runny . Put 2 min noodles in a plastic coke bottle and cook them .Or coffee same. Not as much fun or comfort as a fire, though. .
