Thanks for watching! Sorry that the audio isn't great, I had very little time to put this video together before leaving on the GDT. Check out any recent updates from our hike on my Instagram @jupiterhikes !

Glacier is so breathtaking. Just amazing scenery. So glad you got to do the trip (and your Great Divide trip, too)...with someone you care for and who enjoys backpacking as much as you. That is a blessing. Thanks for (another) beautiful video. Best wishes...and best of luck on the Great Divide !

Beautiful shots! I’m so happy you have found special person to hike with you. Solitude is awesome, but having that special person at the end of the day, it’s pretty good. Best of luck on your big trek 🥾🥾🥾🥾

I just turned 30. Its gonna take me many miles and many years before I can get to your level and hope to take on adventures like these, at least without getting lost and dying. im not trying to endanger myself or anyone with me though so Im going on my first hiking loop over labor day weekend with some friends its about 20 miles. I hope to take on a few small places like that this year to gain understanding and dial in my gear and my weight. Then when my next 2 week vacation comes up ill try something a little harder. Im just trying to take things slow and ramp up to something like the stuff you do one day.

New sub here, from Sandy Eggo. PCT is on the bucket list, but I'm grateful for all of the awesome trails near me. Dr. Suess used to hike them too. You can see the way he draws plants and vegetation. Some of the stuff you see makes you think you're on another planet. Cheers Jupiter, happy trails.

When I day-hiked Ptarmigan Tunnel years ago (looks like I was headed the opposite direction you went), I saw someone continue on down the trail past the tunnel (which was the turnaround point for the day-hike). I wondered where they could possibly be going. Now I know! Thanks!

@@wanttogo1958 good point! I always say to myself that it's more efficient to carry my energy in my stomach than on my back, as it is closer to my center of mass. I guess the same applies to excess body fat!
