Episode 43, We're going to spend 3 days living on this deserted Australian island in CAPE YORK Spearing and catching our food from the ocean. As you all know we love the challenge of catching our own food but throwing in an island in Remote Cape York... Doesnt get much better!

I'm sorry to tell you blokes, but you haven't found spear fishing paradise. Try around the Smith group of islands, crystal vis at 70 metres on the right day more fish and crystal that your boat can hold. Oysters as big as dinner plates. I won the qld title twice out of that water and never dove deaper than 15 metres. Even the tigers an whalers are friendly.

@@WildReaches Google "Sir James Smith Group." Never ever seen a salty around there. But some fat Bronzie's, Big Tigers an the occasional Hammer. If you want a new diving experience there is an old sugar lighter just off Mackay worth a look out near Flat top island, some big Hammers may surprise you though. Ask any older blokes around the harbour or a dive shop where you can find it. There are some great crevices just off Sarina (north of Mackay) l often used to find some GIANT Barra hiding, you can sneak up and peep down at em, best l got was close to 60 lbs.
