I'm a South Island locations scout for film and TV and I use one of these. They are, without a doubt, the best overall off the rack 4x4 I've ever owned. I've variously had a T-Landcruiser ( Bonnet and tail has too much overhang for tight spots. Winch essential. T-Highlander. Too small. Range Rover. Too awful generally. Expensive to run, was constantly repairing it so reliably unreliable. Landrover Discovery. See Range Rover? Awful. Awful.Awful. It only did two things well. It could blow up, then it could break down. Gutless 4l V8 was hugely expensive to run, when it was running. My old Delica has never let me down and has performed well beyond my expectations. And that's why I still own it. When I grow up and become a real boy I'll be considering converting it to Tesla running gear. (RUC's on Diesels are simply a rip-off rort.)

I recon any diff lock is worth, but depends very individualy which exactly. Couple to choose from LSD, LOKKA, E-locker or air locker. Havent got that far to put the lockers on though....

What kind of suspension/ what tire sizes are you guys running?

One is stock, one has Ironman lift kit with 31" tyres and I am running full Dobinson lift kit and 31" tyres

@@SKazclaw Hi, I trimmed little bit of front front bumper, removed original front mudflaps and hammered the metal seem flat behind the mud flap.
