That is a date code on the Homer Laughlin plate. It appears to have been produced in 1935.

The pale around 20 minutes was from Homer Laughlin Co from Newell West Virginia.

HLC or Homer Laughlin Co. also made Fiesta, Harlequin and Riviera colorful pottery dishes. They only did date codes on their other lines, I believe.
