BTW...got chewed up by chiggers walking a creek last week (they are worse than horseflies imo) but found a porcelain sign..'Cheasapeake & Potomac Telephone Company' with a blue bell thinking 20's good luck next dig buddy.

Some killer finds but the German Silver purse top isnt real silver. It was a clever marketing scam. Its nickle they also made items marked Nickel Silver too.👍♋

That might be a remnant of a chain purse, meaning the entire body that's missing might have been a tight weave slinky chain, as evidenced by all those chain links at top. I think they might have been most popular from roaring 20's and later.

Travis, the gold cane handle, silver purse frame and spoon were spectacular. I bet you were shacked to see the markings after clean up. Loved the colbalt ink and the train candy jar.
