@@midnightryder36 honestly. something about people in costumes just horrifies me, probably because of the fact that the people under those costumes tend to be rapists or paedophiles and take advantage of their job and the innocence of children then lacks their ability to realise this-im not saying children should have to grow up faster and that any of this then makes it okay, but it’s simply better to be safe than sorry... :(

Wouldn’t be surprised if the guy in the costume was working with members of the hotel. From the story’s detail, it didn’t seem the guy was caught or that the family received any help. I’ve been in a similar situation before, I’d rather not talk about it much (I was 5), but when my parents complained to the front desk of my summer camp that a man tried to take me to the bathroom which was a good couple of miles away from the camp site, they didn’t look concerned in the slightest. The man got away and the camp didn’t even apologise to my parents. Looking back now it most certainly does terrify me, not because of the incident necessarily but more so because of the fact that I’m 95% sure that man and (some) of the camp members were working together and it’s even worse because all the people participating in the camping were from age 4-10. Thank god my parents chose to stay with me that day and I think it goes without saying my 2 week camp was cut down short to 3 days. 😬

First he needs to find 3 stories either from emails or reddit or something. There isn't even that much of these stories and even so it can take forever to read and search thru them all. He has to make sure they are good, appropriate, and possibly real stories. This can take days. He also needs to voice these stories which probably takes multiple cuts trying to make it sound scary without studders or anything. And then he needs to find images, and edit them to be scary. Then he adds sound effects. This can also take days...and also when he needs bills paid.

That last one if true is by far the scariest story ever. I can try to explain it as mind tricks mixed with house settling noises, the draft and pressure difference from opening the toy room door closed the closet door as well as knocking the toy down but man I just don't know, that one was crazy.
Jesus died and rose again to save you from hell, but you have to accept him as your savior first. These Bible verses explain how you can accept Jesus as your savior and have eternal life (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, 3:10, 5:12, 6:23, 5:8-9, 10:9-10, 10:13, 10:17, 8:28, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 11:1-3, James 1:17, 2 Peter 3:9-10, 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 21:4-6) :)

When your 10 you become more mature. You are old enough to take care of yourself. Thats what my mum does to me and im 10-12. I also have to take care of my 7-9 year old brother and have been since I was five my brother was four.l (my mum works from home and has been since 2014 so she would be sleeping in her room which was right next to the lounge room during one of these babysitting shifts and it would be during the school holidays so only 12 weeks a year and only for 6-8 hours. The only reason I was upset was because he had autism we still didnt understand as he had just been diagnosed.)

My mom and I saw a 4 or 5 year old girl picking flowers and walking on the sidewalk at the park by herself while we were walking our dog. When we and another couple were looking at her with confusion and asking each other if it was their child, she ran home... We saw her make it home, so we know she wasn't in danger but if we see her again by herself, we're reporting it. We're concerned about smth bad happening to her. This literally just happened today!

It probably wasn’t a ghost, there might’ve been a hidden space in the closet. I believe in the paranormal too but you can’t just always assume something is paranormal, especially in a place like a house you’ve lived in for a while without any problems before. Really the closest thing to paranormal was the kid talking to thin air outside, but he could’ve just been talking to himself for that moment. I mean would a ghost have to open and close the closet door?

It really just depends on the child's age. Being 5 and having an imaginary friend is very different from a 12 year old having an imaginary friend, with the latter definitely being worthy of raising some eyebrows.
@courtneypalmer2331 Жыл бұрын
Kids use imaginary friends to cope with change and loneliness all the time, especially adopted/fostered kids so it makes me mad he was so dismissive about it, he obviously didn't do any research about child development. Granted the turn it took was spooky, but still...

I am autistic, and I have always spoken to myself in a very animated manner. I explain stuff to myself, I have debates with two different "voices" to sort out issues, I ask for opinions from myself, and I tell myself stories. This is not because I am insane or weird or anything, I simply do it because at times the abstract nature of my own thoughts messes with me when trying to understand something a bit more complex than usual, like philosophical ideas, the vaccum of space, amd math. I think in pictures, smells, and emotions, so talking my thoughts out loud helps a lot when dealing with more physical ideas as well, like if I was trying to build something. It slows the brain down, makes each step more understandable. Same stuff when I debate with myself or try to solve an issue. My brain can easily get overwhelmed and run wild, causing anxiety and make me miss smaller details. If I act out two people trying to solve and issue togeather, it helps me remember all the tiny details (as each voice is on opposite sides of the debate so I only habe to remember half the points, in a way) and come to a compromise. I swear, its not as insane as it sounds or seems. I do not hear voices (even of sometimes I think one voice and speak the other), I do not suffer from horror movie DID, I am not talking to spirits. Just dealing with my autism and the slightly unusual way my brain functions. Why am I telling you this? Well, if you find that your kid is talking to themselves a lot or even have arguments with themselves, dont freak out. Its most likely them acting out stories in their heads while speaking the dialoge, or they are creatively trying to work around some form of anxiety. Dont just jump out and judge them the first this you do, dont tell them to stop, dont ask who they are talking to in a concerned voice. Instead just google "child speaking to themselves" and see what you can find. Ask the child in a way that dont judge about their behaviour. If you truly suspect something is off, take them to a child therapist (again in a way that expresses the normality of the situation, that dont make the kid out to be sick or weird). Ok, thats all from me, bye!!XD

my parents left me alone once or twice when i was 8 (my sister wasn't at home either). I used to live in an extremely safe area, where everybody knew everybody (and all the neighbours knew my mom since she was BORN). If I needed anything i could just ask the neighbours, or my grandma (or my great-grandma, cause everybody lived in the same street) but it wasn't at night either so, it was pretty safe. I think it kinda depends really :)
