@@jessesissom Multiple sources I've read cited the casualties in the range of around 2,700-2,900 -- so, yeah, I rounded up by at most a little under 300. Now while I'm sure 300 lives IS a huge, major deal, for discussion's sake it's not. Keep in mind that figure doesn't include the aftermath deaths resulting from things like inhaling the toxins from the wreckage. If you actually think January 9th was worse than September 11th, then you deserve Darwin Award. Two people die during the Capitol Riot -- fucking two. One was shot by police and the other died by natural causes. The financial damage was not even comparable either. A few broken windows and furniture compared to two completely destroyed buildings and planes....

It’s like that. Every life. Twenties are the best years of your life. You spend the rest of your life chasing those times, those years again, while your ticket to ride winds down. For me…..1970’s…..my twenties. The music was great, etc…..we all have those same memories, just the years have different numbers. I would give _anything_ to live it again. Wouldn’t we all. Maybe the pendulum of time will swing back again one millennium, and I’ll be writing this same comment again. How great would that be for us all! The thing is, they are right to some extent, (I vacuum floors) this week I mostly just moved from hide spot to hide spot (places where I'll someone approaching before they see me, and where people almost never come by anyway) and just get on my phone. Not because i am attached to my phone, or even a lazy worker I just don't see the point. I don't get paid a living wage, and when I do work as best as I can, it's not enough for management. So I have weeks where I work really hard, no one notices and I get complaints about places I missed. Then I have works where I just mope around work fighting the urge to just up and quit, and I get complaints about places I missed Good or bad, I am still making a slave wage, good or bad I am still getting negative remarks on my work.

The nostalgia!!!!!! I was born in 87. Growing up in the 90s will always go down unmatched!!!!! Todays youth sadly will never get to experience what we had. Even older people who were fully grown in the 90s and early 2000s. American Pie was my junior high years but very much was my upbringing going through high school. Yes this song reminds me of Jim and Michelle and that scene. But this song makes me want to cry because all the memories of my years as a teenager. Being at a school dance with this song on and being nervous to ask a girl to dance. Before social media and cell phones existed and you had to actually walk out and talk to someone. Todays youth has been ruined by "social media". This song just reminds me of simplier times when we had it so good as teenagers!!! I would never trade those memories ever!!!!! Songs like this that are so good that it still exists today!!! Music that had meaning. Thank you 3DD for this amazing song. Feels good to go down memory lane and relive in my head all the meories and feelings i had as a teen. Anyone else have a story behind this song. Im curious. Wheres my 90s people at?

This here is my feel good music. Takes me back. Way back. I like these type of joints when I'm smoking or sippin, lol pun...or just want my heart to go back to it's teenage years. Ppl say I'm weird, for still listening to such music at this age... especially being black in the hood. Life is too short. These days were it & lit. The world wasn't as crazy and sensitive. If I could go back...

I watvhed american pie 2 the other day. An iconic film from my era and music took me back to my youth . I'm 33 now with children but I remeber been sat in my bed room listening to this at 14 like it was yesterday. That indie / punk rock from that era was good fun music and this song was one of my favourites. After not hearing it for years I still remembered the words right through. That's when you know it's a good song 🖤👍

Things will never ever be the same again. If any of us are parents we try are hardest to teach our children the truth and what's right. This new generation of technology and social media has the game all fucked up. God bless the generation of today hopefully one day they grow up to know what's up. R.I.P. to the 80s 90s and early 2000s

I was a senior in HS...this song was introduced to us you people...going into college that year...American Pie 2. I had funny movies...and awesome music, great memories of HS to take with me. That was in 2001...now, it takes me back to when I couldnt wait to get here. Now I wish...I could go back. It's a shame...but the music and movies will always make the sun shine brighter. Good times.

Covid really changed everything....and I don’t see things getting any better. So sad, the memories of actually meeting people without a mask is something I cherish and hope to see things calm down and get back to normal. Hey one can wish, right? 😞

There has always been diseases. Some even more contagious and dangerous than coronavirus. It was the people who brought all this tyranny upon us. By blindly believing the media and not doing any research for themselves. Just letting fear control them. 90s people would’ve never let this happen. People were more independent back then when it comes to figuring things out. There was more critical thought back then.

The beginning of this song that was edited for the movie absolutely strikes a chord with me. "He's lived his life being too young to live the life that's in his dreams, he's left behind a lot of things he'd rather not mention right now"..... goddamn that shit just hits home hard as fuck. :(

Injuries, erased memories, seduction, and hypnotism which sums up this movie. James was a great actor in it, and pretty, attractive. I just don't understand the plot why he would steal such an expensive painting that everyone wants to find, and can't be sold easily without word getting out about were it is. To see him die at the end in the movie was to much.

American Pie is the reason how I found out about this song I finally didn’t listen to this until I was 11 now I’m 24. I feel like this song definitely sends out a message when it comes to emotion or issues with love or if you just need some guidance and that’s exactly the message 3 Doors Down taught me through these lyrics. Thank you. 👏👏👏👏👏

He spends his whole life being too young to live the life thats in his dreams at night he lies awake and he wonders "Why can't that be me?" 'Cause in his life he's filled with all these good intentions He's left a lot of things he'd rather not mention right now Just before he says goodnight He looks up with a little smile at me and he says If I could be like that I would give anything Just to live one day in those shoes If I could be like that What would I do? What would I do? Yeah Now in dreams we run She spends her days up in the north park Watching the people as they pass And all she wants is just a little piece of this dream Is that too much to ask? With a safe home, and a warm bed On a quiet little street All she wants is just that something to hold onto That's all she needs, yeah If I could be like that I would give anything Just to live one day in those shoes If I could be like that What would I do? What would I do? Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah I'm falling into the same dreams We run away If I could be like that I would give anything Just to live one day in those shoes If I could be like that What would I do? What would I do? If I could be like that I would give anything Just to live one day in those shoes If I could be like that What would I do? What would I do? If I could be like that I would give anything Just to live one day in those shoes If I could be like that What would I do? Lord, what would I do?
