It sure will! The first step is teaching the dog to love spending time in the crate, but that is easily done with their daily allotment of food and a pile of hollow chew-toys

My shelter pup is approximately 1 yr old. He goes into his crate during the day & at night to sleep with the door open. However, when I need to leave he balks at going into the crate. I have to use force to get him inside, which is not easy as he weighs around 70lbs. When I drop food or treats in the crate he is wary about going inside the crate. He is primarily a Belgian Malinois, so he's very smart.
