I live in the south of England and had never heard of linseed oil paint till following Swedish you tubers. Just used it for the first time and love it 😀Adore the blue door X

Oh really! I actually don’t know much about where in the world it’s being used but it’s a great paint and cool method that looks beautiful for hundreds of years. Thank you! 💘

Alejandra, I love the shade of blue you created. It goes so well with the shade of white on the walls. I've never used linseed oil paint. It seemed to go on so smoothly and I don't see any brush marks. Is that a feature with linseed oil paint? I also like the chair and the new cushions. Loved the music and the fact that you were listening to a podcast on our coming election here in the U.S. I used too just be present with whatever I was working on at the time, but now I to listen to political podcast while working.

Thank you! It did leave some brush marks but not too much and I feel it blended in very nicely. I was afraid it would be a lot of brush marks. Oh yea! I’m following a podcast on Swedish Radio that has two episodes a week now before the election. Always been very interested in politics and the society, so this is so interesting to me!

So happy to come across your channel, its very cozy :) Just an fyi that the scraper you are using to strip the door looks a lot like the kind used for scraping glass, they have thin sharp blades and are just not strong enough for paint on wood. It will still take long enough to get pissed of at plastic paint but a good scraper makes a really big difference :)
@AlejandraCerdaАй бұрын
Thank you! Very welcome 🥰 Yes, I am aware 🤭 It worked to scrape off everything else. The plastic paint came off like a sticker, and this was the only tool I had at home.

Also, I'm loving the jumper you are wearing towards the end of the video! Where is it from? I've literally spent all morning looking for knitwear xD

Thank you so much! The white with a V neck is from H&M bought second hand, the oversized grey one is from a Swedish ethical brand called Residus. My husband gave it to me as a Christmas gift a few years ago, and I love it. They still sell it. :)

Loved hearing a bit of Swedish on the radio and when you were talking to your husband. I'm learning Swedish and visiting Stockholm for the first time soon :) Do you now speak Danish or can you just get by with Swedish in Denmak? I can tell throigh watching series that the language is almost the same but then I tried some Swedish in Denmark and was given the roundest eyes of incomprehension, and their pronunciation is also incredibly difficult to understand 🫣
@AlejandraCerdaАй бұрын
Haha that is a good question. The answer is yes and no. I speak basic Danish and mix it with Swedish but a lot of times they don’t understand me if I just misprounciate it the slightest. Older Danes understand and often talk Swedish - they grew up with Swedish TV - but the younger generation is almost unwilling to understand you. But yea, Danish is very difficult to learn. The words are often the same but pronounced very different.

That's surprising about the generations, good to know! Thank you :)
