I'd recommend to hold powerslide when jumping on the ceiling to not lose your momentum and your car's position :)

Overlooked points in my opinion, and some advice that helped me learn these mechanics competitively. please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks! 1) Ceiling shot - *Make sure your not full boosting to the ceiling* as you will start to go down earlier then the ball most of the time. You generally want to fall at the same speed as the ball for more control with it. You can decide whether to full boost or not once u get comfortable with managing the boost - *Hold power slide when landing on ceiling* as you can keep your momentum while being on the ceiling. 2) Wall dash - *Please learn how to wave dash* as this gives a general idea on how wall dash works. It gets easier to learn trust me. - *Try going at 100% speed on the wall and perform the wall dash* as this is easier to do at the start. Then slowly reduce the speed as you get comfortable doing it. *If you have speedy fingers, then go right ahead with slow speeds!* - *Make sure you try it with and without power slide* as this gives you an rough idea on how your car works while performing the wall dash and how to recover if you mess up! *only for training* 3) Classy flick or more commonly known as the 180 degree flick There's nothing much to this but knowing how to dribble beforehand. - *Learn to dribble properly* as this gives you the finest control to perform this from any angle! Make sure you can control the ball while only feathering boost, only pressing acceleration button, and both! *Don't try to learn this without learning to dribble & front flip flick consistently*

Even a gold player can master this? Now you got my attention (me a champ 1 player, who sucks at freestyle 😅)
@Official_Solok2 жыл бұрын
you should really get into ground freestyling then its competitively viable and much more consistent to pull of you don't need a setup as well since a dribble is all you need :) (technically counts as a setup but pretty much most champ 1 players can do this so..) -learn to turn 90 degree with power slide consistently 4/4 times at least (in game, not training, easy to learn) -learn to 180 degree turn with power slide consistently (might take some time) -learn to 45 degree, classy, musty flick the ball -learn to wave dash flick with the ball this is pretty fun to pull of in game, and you wont be losing possession or instantly giving away position in champ lobbies lmk your thoughts on this, I'm taking these mechanics with competitive advantage in mind. Air dribble, Ceiling shots, Flip resets and etc.. etc.. takes time to setup, meanwhile ground related freestyles is given to you every time you gain proper possession which is... almost every time in champ... considering this is the rank where opponents just powershot and give possession away... I'm currently stabled at C1D4 / C2D1 and I do aerial freestyles, got a friend whos similar rank who does ground freestyles.

I actually bind air roll to RT as you can drop of it if you jump and need to rotate around the horizontal axis, then just tap it when needed for air rolls.

got down the classy flick instantly because I didnt knoe it was already a mechanic, I thought i created thst flick... Nope, Turns out its the classy flick. The walldash is kinda hard and imo airdribbles are simpler to learn than a ceiling shot.

Most of the "classy" flicks you showed were just 180 flicks or back flips. A classy flick would be more of a tornado spin then backflip or jumping, leaning back and air rolling so you can back flip.

Classy flick is doing it off a bouncing ball and you do it like an air dribble kinda like half a breezi then not doing the musty and flipping back. 180 is just spinning 180 then flicking off a dribble

Y does my ball fall so fast compared to me, I hit it hard to we’re it’s about to hit the ceiling but it doesn’t and I go up the wall and let myself fall but by the time that happends it’s already half way down to the ground

ceiling shots are NOT more effective than flip resets. Ceiling shots are easily guarded, while a inline quick flip reset from ground is damn near impossible to guard. Unless you're already top 100 and have guarded them thousands of times.

Can someone explain the infinite flip that he talks about 1 minute and 10 seconds into the video? I’ve always wondered why some people can flip so late after jumping off walls but when I do it I can never get the second flip?
@CalvinIsBadNews2 жыл бұрын
You’re supposed to let yourself fall off and not jump off like i said in the video, if you never jump in the first place you keep your flip for an infinite amount of time

Your "ground classy" is literally just a 180 flick. Need to be airborne to be a classy which is why a ground version should be from something like a bounce dribble.

Ha ya ranks and mechanics learned are different for everyone. I got to diamond without knowing how to fast aerial or half flip. My friend and I got good at team work and roaring/avoiding double commits and that carried us far. Now that we’ve added in a couple new mechanics we’re around champ 1/peak at champ 2. Mechanics are important but having a solid fundamentals and game sense are huge. If you haven’t seen Flakes “road to ssl with no mechanics” I’d highly recommend it. That series showed how simple you can play and still win. He’s obviously very high level but he shows that good decision making/positioning/fundamentals can take you super far with little to no advanced mechanics. Cheers to leveling up in rocket league!
