Here you go, 3 easy houses to build.. perhaps in the beginning.
I think the second house is the best, both aestetically and how much room there is to it.

Creative mode is built into the game, and for content creators saves a hell of a lot of time. These builds are super easy to do in Vanilla mode.

Just a tip: to keep your fire from going out because of rain, put a 45 degree roof over the chimney and put 2 walls on either side, it actually looks decent

I will build a chimney straight up, place 4 small post on each corner on the top and put a roof cap on top the posts ;) looks really good and fire doesnt go out!

Great quick house ideas. I noticed that you're jumping to get into your homes a lot. All you have to do is remove whatever support beams are connecting that entrance to get in without jumping.

Thanks a lot for this, inspired me a lot! I based my starter base on the second design long ago, modifying a few aspects, like making it 7 tiles wide instead of 5, removing the window frames as a like the shape without them, and other minor tweaks. I then expanded downwards and make a bigger basement floor and a dock attached to it. I think it looks pretty nice. I'll post a video soon in case you are curious :)

No beams placed at the foot of the entrance, and you won't need to jump in order to get inside. You can build a smoke escape by just raising the roof with 2 small beams, seperating it from the main roof below. You're able to securely place foundation beams underground if you build an adjacent wall, and aim towards the side, this way, the beam will adjust to the wall's height and go underground, avoiding the mythical "floating beams".

The second house design is my favorite cuz it is the closest thing one can have for small mead hall. Although, my take on it has a small gap on the roof enough to let the smoke out

1st looks like an extended vanilla house you find when roaming, 2nd looks more like a proper beginner home, and 3rd looks like a storage hut, i like the roof hanging off to the side like a little shed for the wood.

With simple wood, you really can build quite high 2 to 3 storeys tall without core wood beams, with them 4 to 5 floors' height. 2 wood resource chests (one of those next to the kiln with coal as well), 1 stone chest, 1 or 2 metal resource chest next to the smithy table, 2 to 3 chests next to the workbench, 1 or for later 2 chests offside (alone) only for resin, because it's gathered/gained so fast, food types require 1 or rather 2 chests for immediate use (mushrooms, berries, cooked/raw meat types) and 2 or 3 chests for the cauldron recipes (to store honey, thistles, neck tails, maybe coal, flowers, vegetables, intestines and so on), then towards/next to the garden 1 or 2 seed chests; somewhere else with adaptable amount 3 to x chests for trophies dumping, maybe as burial location below ground level ;-) . This is even recommendable for multiplayer sessions with 3 or 4 guys, because you won't need so much extra stuff (2 ranged less armored attackers with aoe weapons and bows, one heavy arm(or)ed close combat guy).

@Joppenheim We in the rural countries actually make sure our roof is wild animals proofed because at night those walk of life doesn't really differentiate between normal paths and your roof. If they can simply walk over it they'll sure do so. Usually deers or foxes that we'll have to annually trapping or hunt so they stay out of our neighborhood.

The stairs need to be Shift-added to go over beams across the floor. Or simply remove the beam where you add stairs. Also add a roof over the fireplace, or else it will go out during rain.

I just use the abandoned buildings you find in the Meadows. My first house was a 2x2 then I graduated to a 4x6 barn I found further out from the start in a Draugr town.

Just built the third one by the water. Going to extend the whole back section 3-4 more “blocks” and make an overhang leading to a dock out back. Want to do some sort of over hang for the front I think.

I think I'll build that 2nd version on my Plains farm. But I'll probably have to put the video on slowmo as it's going a bit to fast to properly check what the dimensions are for the floor for example.

House #2 with the open chimney looks like it will not stop the rain? I know when I first started playing I would build covered chimneys and still my fire would go out, so I would change the room piece and life would be good again, so I question how this one will work. I also wonder why you use a single fire when I would like to also cook meat and not always use the pot especially at the start since I can't make the pot :(

None of these houses has a roof over the fire... what do you do when it rains. For everyone else just add some beams and use the roof top piece. The v shaped one.

Rain protection for fire is easy to fix, just remove the top back wall of the chimney, and place a 26 degree roof with the slope facing in so the smoke vents out the back rather than the top.

If you enable the console in valheim and then click f5 and typ devcommands, then debugmode, close the console with f5 and press Z. Then you will be able to do so too :)

you need chimneys. A square of half walls with 1 metre beams on each corner and the steep roof cap looks really good, just pop it on the roof above where you want the fire and build the walls down to fit it right
