Valheim: 300 Wood Starter House | Build Challenge | Ep 44

Your 300-wood starter home is way cooler than mine 😆 This could be fun as a community sort of challenge, where everyone has the same constraints and has to come up with something individually. Or you could take specific 'shopping lists' from the community and make something out of them - for extra spice, include decorations within that list. Another fun challenge is to do a house for each 'Age', using the same footprint, while including all workbench/forge upgrades and comfort items available to that age...

You actually have one piece left over, you did not reclaim the 1m beam on the left side of the door when you put in the extra 45 degree beam. If that makes sense. Looks great over all, and a good challenge. It does show what a new spawn can do.

Huh, what a neat way to take the series! The hardest part of emulating your style is having the resources to do so, so this is actually super helpful when taking certain structural aspects under consideration. Absolutely amazing build! As a new player (xbox), smaller builds like this are very helpful. Just goes to show you what can be done with limited resources. Definetly gonna try this out, just maybe extend it out a little on the sides. Thank you for the video. Well done!

I always envy those with creativity in buildings....all i did was either 2x2 tall or 3x3 simple square house. But with your "guides" i finally feel....satisfied with houses that i build in my seed.

Very nice! I made this but I increased it a size, making the front 4 wide and the sides 3 wide. Meant some fiddling with the roof but it worked out alright. Also allowed me to make the fireplace 2 wide so that a cooking station will fit into it later. These kind of challenges are definitely helpful for those of us starting out on survival, since its not so resource intensive

Love the video. What I would love to see is a build for each stage prior to killing a Boss. So your only allows materials to that stage of the game to build a house.

Such a cosy and excellent build! So many challenges and constraints thst you can impose upon yourself really, like 500 wood 200 stone for a blacksmith / workshop. Or 600 wood 200 stone for a bunch of miners up in the mountains.

I love these types of builds. Most starters seem to be built for single player. Would really love to see what kind of budget friendly starter base you could build for 2 players. 🥰

One of my biggest gripes with certain videos is how expensive some of these look in order to make them. This is great to see a budget and what that can actually do since some build are really cool and i wanna try them in survival.

Great build! Glad to see you playing the game too. I would love to see you do a full survival play through when Mistlands drops. I think you would have a lot of interest in that. Please, ditch the butter knife and focus on club/bow like a true Viking. Using the knife has made you a better player; but, focussing on clubs will result in greater long term benefit. IMO.

I like the idea of challenges like this! And I agree with other posts that we really enjoy the commentary and seeing the thought process that goes into your decisions! This build is awesome!! Consider mixing in core wood or as TheBasicBuilder suggested stone. Love how quick this went together! Definitely gave some ideas for me and future building. Thought for a challenge is make a functioning workshop with forge and workbench under 300 wood. Include storage as part of the wood too! Maybe the wood amount increases but still could be fun. (Maybe do a Bronze Age, Iron Age, and Silver Age?) Just some thoughts to keep you going. Love the content.
