I just got a 24 D Max, the first time that I opened the bonnet I hit my head on the corner of the bonnet, I bought a set of struts for the bonnet and no more hitting the head, it has been a great mod for me to do, apart from that it is a great ute to own!!!!!!

As an isuzu dealer mechanic working on these things 40 hours a week. Most common replacement issues being turbos. Bonnet struts are right in the way.

Gotta love a good isuzu Love my mux. Im also trying to keep my build nice and cheap. Keen to hear how you find bonnet struts when it comes to fuel filter changes, hate that job, more the screwing it back on part.

If need be you can just put the rod up and unclip the strut haha. Agreed the MUX is a great ride, my wife has one... we have a pigeon pair 😅

Also evaporators are warrenty. Isuzu have very good warrenty. Even if out of the period. Never heard of one being declined at my dealership yet. Got the replacement down to just under 2hrs.

Sounds like you work for a great dealer mate, I've heard some very mixed opinions on the warranty situation! Mine's out of warranty now anyhow so it makes little different now haha

awesome video thank you, just out of interest thoughts on 18” rims for 4 x 4 off road or go for 17” rims? Are catch cans or pre-fuel worth it?

Thanks mate 🍻 Generally the more sidewall the better, hence why you'll see most of the offroad boys running tall profile 15's. But I think 17s are a good balance for a daily driver. Although I haven't done it on this vehicle yet, I reckon there's definitely value in fitting a catch can and a fuel pre-filter especially if you're spending long stints in super remote areas. The western filters kits are definitely the go-to in that regard.

Ecu shop junior double touch combo, 30+ injectors ,egr delete, catch can, munji powder coated stainless intercooler pipping, custom fuel rail, 3inch mild stainless exhaust from the turbo back no mufflers ,chrome molly fly wheel, exceedy clutch , stock turbo and intercooler we end up getting 272hp at the wheels on 32inch muddies with 720lbs of torque out of about 5 runs on the dino 3inch Robinson lift , diff drop kit , 650kg rated rear leafs with full extended shocks Spent about 15k . New upgrade 55mm garret turbo and PDI intercooler with stroker pump dinoed and new remap we are now getting 301hp at the wheels Is my daily driver and with the arb frontier 140ltr tank On highway mode on the touch screen ecu I get 1400km to a tank . Best 4wds ever built 2015 Isuzu dmax single cab 4x4

Thats a pretty wild setup mate. Have often flirted with the idea of running ~250hp with this rig but for the moment at least the money is better spent on the other projects on the go... plus I believe the 6spd auto's aren't real keen on mass torque lol. You're right though, best work horses ever produced 💪🏻
