Been searching for skills to add to my "kit"; this is the best video I have come across by far. Others put way too much superfluous talk, which distracts from what you have made a very straight-forward approach that is easy to adopt. Thank you.

Great video, I have watched others and am always left confused and overwhelmed with knot tying and too much chatter. This video taught me more in a few minutes than all the other videos combined regarding basic trapping. Very concise and teaching the way it should be done. Cheers mate.

Back in the day, I snared everything from sparrows with horsehair or fishing line, to roe deer with washing line rope. For rabbits I always found parachute chord was far more versatile than the traditional brass wire. You could cut the chord to length to suit whatever run you were snaring.

Things are fairly ok . Been hittin the beer a bit too much , but ok for an old guy . Would love to see you make a video for the Bulgarian Board of Tourism . Your English speaking voice and awesome accent would be perfect + ... it would make you a few quid ... maybe quite a few . Just my opinion - Make a video and submit it to them . They will say yes or no . If they are smart , they will jump on it . The perfect job would be getting paid to travel around the country making videos promoting tourism , historical sites , architecture etc. "Bulgaria - The Enchanted Land " They provide the automobile , petrol and living / travel expenses + a salary . Enough of my weird ideas . Take care Brother .

Thanks Patrick. Make sure you take care of yourself brotha. I started drinking alot while I was in Bulgaria last year. Loneliness I think!? Alcohol can work as a depressant in most cases. I stick to having a few spliffs in the evenings nowadays. Less harmful and cheers me up, rather than depressing me like beer does. That's a great idea! Iv been spending alot of time in Bulgaria recently. Been back and forth four times in two months. Finally bought a house and land out there. I'd love to arrange something with the tourism board. Any extra income would come in handy when I finally move out there permantly. Thanks again for all the kind words and support my friend. It's muchly appreciated. Shame you live so far away. I'd love to go on a camp/ hunt and get to know you better. Your a good man. Stay safe, Andy

On your Roller spring snare try hooking your cross member by the ends or turning the anchor/ground pegs so that the notches for the cross member face oppose directions. this makes the trigger more sensitive and easy to trip by an animal going both ways on the trail.

@ClanGunnBushcraft
@ClanGunnBushcraft 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. Rats dont tend to fall for snare type traps. Your better off with a dead fall type trap for small rodents. I have a video on how to build a spring dead fall, but a more simpler four figure dead fall or a paiute deadfall will work jus a's good. Loads of videos on them hear on KZbin. Thanks for watching brotha
