I wish I stumbled upon your channel earlier. I was too into these science backed channels that I did not even recognize the inherent limitations these studies bring. I trained 5-7 rep ranges for a year, I became unbelievably strong, but I got so strong so fast that I eventually injured my wrist by benching in a reasonably safe and correct form. My strength outpaced my vascularity and connective tissue support development (and overall tissue volume that offered structural support to the stress areas while lifting) that eventually led me to being injured. High rep ranges allows more tissue volume development in lower loads while putting you in a pace of strength gain that is not too abnormally fast that could risk injury especially in people like me with inherently low structural support on stress areas (I have girl sized wrists, shiiiiet). Now I train with 15 reps. Now after seeing this, I'll try even lower weights with higher rep ranges. Thanks sir.

I love all of these tips. Not just the series you give tips and ques even in workout videos. My shoulders are a problem area for me. I think its part genetic but also heavy overuse. I did concrete construction many years and was addicted to the gym at the same time. I would recover but sometimes not all the way. Once I start going in the gym I get super focused on pushing it to the limits. My muscles would for the most part recover but my joints would always feel tore up. Now I'm almost 50 and back to loving lifting again accept now through great teaching from people like you I am learning to have healthy approach to recovery in muscle, joints and ligaments. It’s nice to have a balance. Thank you.
