Worship Piano - How To Play Piano In Church ►www.pianote.com/worship-piano

I am 61 years old now and prayerfully wanting to play the piano now can’t believe the Lord still in your heart to minister your gift to all like me, I am so blessed and touched for God’s glory that passes through you to someone like me. I have my cousin got into classical tutorials but because we are poor and can’t afford it, just accompany here and watch until now Praise the Lord!

You have no idea what you just did for me. My mother had all 7 kids learn piano. I just could not read. At age 30 I found out I had dyslexia. I could play guitar and drums. But I could never read and play at the same time. I don’t cry easy. But watching you on how easy it was I started crying crying. May the Lord God bless you and your family. Thank you so much sweetie.

I am teaching children play piano in church and Amazing Grace is the very first song they learn to play as a starter. And i can see their excitement when they play it by just using chords. ♥️ Been your follower since I discovered this channel. I wish to see you just playing and singing in one of your videos without teaching. More power!

This is exactly how I taught myself. Within a few weeks I was playing songs with this method. Years ago, I learned the guitar the same way. Keep up the good works! We are all God’s children; no matter your beliefs.

We go to churches that don't have a piano player. For a long time I've wanted to learn. My husband plays guitar & we sing at church. The piano player passed on at our church & the other church the player was 97 and blind & now has covid & is deaf, so she is now in a nursing home. I just want to say that you sing so pretty.

Hello, I am a blind person learning the piano. I am in love with your lessons but my challenge is that you do not take your time to mention the keys forming the cords you play. Because of that I have never been able to follow and play what you teach. Please mention the keys you play at any point so that everyone can follow. God bless you.
@peterbernal1744 жыл бұрын
I think you can not only follow her but learn how to play chords and do it by your self, you'll need help at the very begining but you can. Start doing scales, knowimg each sound, there are only 12 in chromatic scale but distributed on diferent octaves. There are octaves at the piano, some of the has 5, 6 or till 8 octaves in professionnal ones. In an octave there are 2 black keys and 3 white ones, the left one is a C, the middle one is a D and the 3rd one is an E. The black keys are on top of white ones. The black one Between C and D it is named as C# 《C Sharp》or Db 《D flat》. The other black key between D and E is a D# or Eb, two names, same key, it depend on wich scale are you moving on, up or down. The 2nd part of the octave is conformed by 4 white keys and 3 black ones, the left white one is an F note, 2nd 3rd and 4th are G, A and B. In between F and G there are a black key wich is a F# or Gb, between G and A there is another black one and is a G# or Ab, between A and B there are a black one which is a A# or Bb and after the last B, whis is a white key, you can find another C and that is why it is named Octave, cause of the 8 white keys, in this case from C to C which ia the scale of C Major and the distance between every key is the distance for all the Major Scales. Same thing with the Scale of A, which is the model for all minor scales. The distance between C and C # is a Half tone, the distance between C and D is a Tone, the distance between a C and a E notes is 2 tones, wich is knowing as 3rd Mayor, the distance between E and G is 1 1/2 tones 《 One and a half tones》 which is a 3rd minor, this 3 notes, keys or sounds confoms the chord of C Major, so if you want a Major Chord, you have to have those 3 sounds, 1st 3rd and 5th grade from what you start to build it. And if you want it to transform it into a minor one you have to flat the 3rd grade of the chord an you will get it. So, the formula for a minor chord is 3rd minor + 3rd major 《1 1/2 T + 2T》 If you want to know wich family of chords you can have for singing or playing a sing, ypu need the 1st, 4th and 5th grades, for example, Am 《A minor》 being the 1st grade, you have to add 4th grade wich is minor and it is Dm, and 5th grade wich is the next one and is Major or Major 7 and is E or E7. For you to know which is the Equivalent Major from a minor you have to go forward 2 grades in the scale and in this cas, from A it is C, and is Major, C 《C Major》and from this one, you can add 2 more chords wich are also Mayor and are F and G or G7. So you have now Am. Dm, E7, C, F and G7 which is the Family of chords that allows you to sing or play along songs. I hope some one can help you to read this, and I really hope it will help you to understand not only piano but music theory which every musician needs to know and which knowledge is very usefull for all musical instruments included your voice.🎸🎼🎵🎶😀🎹🎺🎻🥁God bless you and remember, music is inside of you.

I just watched your video and I feel so excited! I love worshipping my King.. love to sing in harmony and learnt piano as a child but stopped because I was not interested in the classical. As an adult I am now going to try and relearn from what basics I knew as child but gear it towards Christian worship! Watching this video totally instilled a new confidence in me that it won't be as daunting as I think and I will slowly get back into it. I am excited to use my skills and passion to glorify my Lord! Thank you!! Can't wait to watch more

Beautiful voice. That is how I started at age 13. I knew the basic triads but back in the mid 70s contemporary Christian music as we know it today did not exist. So I plunked out congregational hymns with my simple 3-noters whenever I was called upon. I'm always on the lookout for fluffy patterns.

My thoughts are, first I believe you’re a Canadian and second it’s like being a drummer playing different rhythms with your hands and feet. I’m almost 60, I have a ton of lyrics I have written and I was given a piano for Father’s Day to help me write my music. I am one of those people who disappears when I’m focused on music. I have never learned to play piano but have played guitar for a long time. I had a stroke in May so this is a challenge. Thanks Lisa you’re awesome!!!!

This is an Amazing lesson! First Amazing Grace is a great song to practice playing the piano and to practice singing. Also it is so so therapeutic to practice playing and singing this song (its like a meditation.) even if your not religious. Just wanted to say as side note it looks like you lost weight and are in good shape :). You can see a glow in you just by playing and singing these songs in this lesson! Puts me in a flow state when practicing. Thanks Lisa!
