Another ENFP struggle...getting distracted on Sunday morning working on a new project and forgetting to publish your video on time :) At least I was only 30 minutes late. What's your biggest struggle as an ENFP?
@teresablakley18555 жыл бұрын
I have been involved in too many things simultaneously and either dropped the ball or gotten burned out, and then feel badly and withdraw, making me look flakey. Until I find a new shiny that I vow is all I am gonna do, till I get bored.. Intentional time management yah that's my new shiny.

ENFP parenting. Extremely rewarding but also so difficult in many ways. Having to push them to do that last piece of homework when you want them to be out with their friends, Making memories, finding new friends and experiencing new things ...yet instead, you’re having to make sure they do all the mundane tasks because it’ll help them through life. I hate making them do that just as much as they hate having to do it! Having to hold a routine because they need that stability. Not being able to just take them out of school and say “let’s go travelling for 6 months!” The struggles are real haha.

Deeply appreciate your knowledge. Novelty and Variety - I got it. Intentionality - I got it. Creativity - I got it. Paralysis by Analysis - yeah I heard that. Self mastery - Know Thy Self - Righteous. I’m 51. I’ve been many versions of my self...currently I’m pursuing an art degree in creativity - plenty of opportunities to create resolutions to the challenges above. Inspired.

Sounds like quite an interesting degree!

Dreams Around The World - I’m in my 4th year at the Learning Connexion Institute For Art & Creativity enjoying my Advanced Diploma In Materiality of Art & Creativity. We are studying Richard Serra, Jackson Pollock, Eva Hesse, Andy Goldsworthy, Peter Adsett and more. Materiality is a field of creativity in art that focuses on the investigation of properties of materials. We are not interested in the ten thousand year old world of the “vertical” art traditions which invest in formalism, illusion, and symbol or icon. We are fully focused on the material and the modalities of index as the subtle play of form, light, and process of interaction, activation and shifters at play in allowing the voice of material properties to speak truth to form. So a painting on a canvas surface isn’t my goal ... my interest rests inside the properties of paint as a material, canvas as a material and surface as a material and Horizontality as an orientation and the ambiguity between ground and figure to a point where the ground itself can become a paint medium into which a 1000 pounds of canvas slashed into strips can be soaked in mud and flung over a thousand picture frames lying flat on the ground ... allowing it to dehydrate and leave behind a desiccated ground interlaced with the weight of heavy piles of canvas over broken wooden picture frames ... and none of it is related to anything able to be sublimated as anything subjectively capable of any subject relating to the traditions of Impressionism, abstract expressionism, surrealism , realism or portraiture...it is in its final form pure Materiality ... very exciting stuff. Not a day goes by I’m bored, unintentional or lacking creativity’s revitalisation. You’ll laugh. Last week I was chosen to speak on behalf of all students as the special guest student speaker. So I’m painfully shy but I’m a star public speaker ... ENFP right ... so I walk on stage in my paint bespattered cover-alls ... gasping the audience is immediately in titters and tatters whispering “who the hell is this?” 17 mins later I walk off the stage (actually I ran off the stage) to thunderous standing ovation. I get back to my seat and I ask the lady “why is everyone standing?” She just looks at me with that “Dumb ass ... they’re standing for you” look on her face. Thought you’d like that story. Signing off - Painfully shy ENFP with a 10th Dan Black Belt in Public Speaking

My job is perfect for an ENFP - Clinical nutrition. I spend time in a busy, noisy hospital, but not necessarily interacting with people. I may be busy charting on patients while absorbing, listening to, and being energized by the background noise! Then when i have to, or need to interact, I do!

😂 this is just awesome. How i deal with needing variety while having kids: rearrange my home every now and then 😂 travel with the kids during their breaks. Work with more than one thing. One of my companies is different projects every month.

I am getting tired of being stuck in one place. I need to find answers and resources ,and I hope I can find them somewhere and sooner rather than later.. I need my own work and living space and in a quiet area. The noise in my area is not conducive to working in a home office situation at all. I need help and answers somewhere..

ENFP here - I am married to an INTJ & it is so comforting to have your advice here. I always want to ask my husband “what should I do??” and while he’s got a good way of looking at the small details of things I find that sometimes his advice doesn’t actually help me. All of your videos have helped me tremendously in the past day that I’ve binged them :) I’m in between jobs and I just quit the last one because I couldn’t deal with how my boss only gave criticism & no recognition. I also couldn’t stand to be in a room with a bunch of people who were miserable all the time (mostly because I was also miserable & wanted everyone to be more lively to perk me up) anyways, along came an ENTJ and right after he was hired was when I bounced. His structured energy was just something I couldn’t have in my life. Also, why I’m at it. I’m just wondering, as a female ENFP why do people always assume I’m hitting on them? Is it because I ask probing questions. I found this one person very interesting and come to find out he told his wife I was interested in him and I was blown away... I thought he was a really helpful person and gave me great insight into my own marriage. 😑I’m just so disturbed by that. Ive encountered a lot of situations where I come across as flirting when I don’t mean to be. Do you have advice? Thanks!
@claudiamunsell49434 жыл бұрын
Emilee Moreland Same problem w the “flirting” way of speaking. We are very good at reading people and caring about them, which is something that inevitably comes off as interest. This is not bad at all by any means! It is one of our special talents. The best thing we can do for ourselves is to be extremely upfront and assertive (even if it doesn’t feel like the best thing) but it is a skill we learn. By that I mean, state things bluntly and clarify things often whenever someone begins to take interest in you.

Question regarding something “I’ve always wondered” about. When I’m curious about something, I _actively pursue_ the answer to those curiosities. (Even though in most circumstances I’m curious about things that the majority of the population has never even considered, much less been so curious about that they went out of their way to discover the answer.) What baffles me is hearing someone say, “I’ve always wondered about that”, yet that fleeting thought is as far as it goes. If you’ve always wondered about something, why haven’t you ever sought out the answer?? 🤔 Is that a _ME_ thing, or an ENFP thing? FYI, in case you’re wondering, yes, I already tried to find the answer to my question, to no avail. 😆

Hi Dan I find myself in every word. I am from Germany and have completed my Master in Business Studies and am now finally free. There are so many options and so many things I still want to do. Travel around the world, play theatre, learn to play instruments, start UP, do a second master in business psychology, start KZbin Chanel, Online Marketing, Amazon FBA, and save the world with my ideas, have a lot of ideas :-) best of all at the same time and immediately. But where should I start? What should I do? King regards Fatih

Hey Dan! I love your videos and I really like , as an ENFP, to understand my personality because I keep learning so many new things about myself as life goes by and your videos have helped me so much to do that!!! I am currently starting my business going as a solo entrepreneur and I'm having trouble because I feel scared, and like you said in another video, we can procrastinate because we are scared but I am having trouble bringing the ideas to life and actually bringing myself to do the one step I know is going to change everything , you know? I just want to share this struggle and maybe ask for some advice on being a solo entrepreneur as an ENFP.

Thank you. It sounds like you have a great self awareness already. If you're interested, I work with quite a few enfp entrepreneurs and we get some great results. Feel free to contact me through my website.
