What has helped me with male pattern baldness is Sulfur 8 Lite warmed up and I add peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree and basil oils to the warmed up sulfur 8 lite grease, I mix with a plastic knife and then let it cool. It gets back to being a solid like paste. 3 times a week I apply this to my crown and temples. I also take MSM and Biotin daily. My bald spot is completely covered over with about an inch of hair, it took 5 months to get hair. I went 3 yrs with a bald crown and male pattern baldness. I found out about sulfur 8, msm, Biotin, and oils on KZbin. I'm happy I have hair all over my head now

Also Ylang Ylang is specifically for hair growth. I use that a lot in my diy products. Lemongrass as well. When I make my triple whipped mango butter, I use a few drops of both. The fragrance is so soothing.

Thanks much for this! I was confirming that I was going about this the right way. I have thick hair that had grown very long as a child and as soon as I got control of it, I cut it all off. Recently my mother has been asking if I'm not going to let it get long again, so to amuse us, I am. I use rosemary and lavender oil, just as how you've recommended and now...now I remember why I kept it short! Long thick hair is not for the faint of heart or comb. I have tried all 3 of them over the years. I love peppermint oil. Rosemary is very beneficial for growth and fungus treatment. Lavender I used minimally. Yea tree is another good one for anyone with scalp issues such as myself. I recommend using it 2-3 times weekly at night time before bed. Make sure you wrap you hair after massages it into you scalp. I have been using coconut oil mixed with essential oils such as peppermint , eucalyptus and lavender for years. I usually leave this homemade product in my hair after application. However, lately, I have been reading so many articles that state when treating your hair with essential oils you must leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse or shampoo. I never rinsed my essential oils out of my hair. What are your thoughts? I noticed you did not mention rinsing.

My thought is that if it is 100% essential oil you must mix it with a carrier oil to avoid irritation as it is just too potent to be used alone. You don't have to shampoo it off you can just let it absorb and do its work. I personally would not use it without mixing it with a carrier oil. I am too concerned it may burn my scalp and I'll never grow any hair back in that area and I'll have a huge dermatology bill

I’m a biotin user it’s not as much effect for the simple fact that it’s a vitamin, and what your body takes in vitamins may just be enough from your meal nutrition (meaning if your body doesn’t need more biotin it’ll excrete it and just become waste) however I will not say biotin and other b complex vitamins aren’t needed, they are a good booster to add on to your hair and nail treatments. oil is specifically to target the follicle and blood flow as well as cancel out bad receptors like DHT, which is crucial to the follicle process something biotin does not do.

I’m not a fan of it either! I try to use it in treatments that I can wash out of my hair because I can’t stand how it smells as an essential oil. If you really want to use it, try adding a few drops to your shampoo or use it in your pre-treatment.

I leave it on my scalp and the older does not linger but if you add the lavender oil that will help it smell a little better. Don't put on too much and rub it into your scalp very well so it absorbs and then you won't smell it as much. Actually I don't smell it at all when I put it on at night an hour or so before bedtime.
