for the monte carlo simulation you can actually generate x and y between 0 and 1 to be able to use less number of steps

If Montecarlo is computed for a completely filled surface and thus an infinity of points, then the surface difference between circle and square multiplied by 4 should be Pi, too. Just reasoning ...

Yes because you'd have an infinite accuracy on your estimation of pi. But how do we calculate these infinite points?

Technically, for the first method, more terms does not necessarily mean closer to pi as the distance from pi goes up and down as the terms plus and minus. Yes, overall a lot of terms will get you closer, but the very next term might actually be further away.

For Monte Carlo no need to consider the whole circle just a quarter and values from 0 to 1 also does the trick
