I feel like everyone is just expecting the MonsterVerse to be a reboot of every Toho Godzilla film, expecting them to bring back older Kaijus like Gigan, Hedorah, SpaceGodzilla, Biollante, Destoroyah, Gorosaurus, Angurius, Megalon, Jet Jaguar, etc. Even though those characters would probably look cool in the MonsterVerse, we need to understand that this is Legendary's take on Godzilla. Just because Godzilla is a main character, along with the MV having some other Toho Kaijus here and there, doesn't mean we can expect them to revive every Toho Kaiju from past movies. Sometimes, we need to let them cook themselves, and let them keep coming up with their own original Kaijus and characters for the MonsterVerse.

First of all, it is impossible for all these toho kaiju to appear in the monsterverse because then legendary would have to buy all their rights, which is a very big risk on their part. Also if legendary would have just buy the Toho monsters then we wouldn't have got the new and original creatures like Skull Crawler, Calazoltz, Shinomura, The ION Dragon, Warbat, Tiamet, Downriver, Behemoth, The Mutos, Skar King and Shimo. Also, The next movie is probably gonna Be focused on Godzilla so, Who would be a better Antagonist other than Goji's Own Arch Nemesis...and it is almost sure that kong will be featured in the movie too and Kong is a species from Skull Island. Ngl I just wanna see Destroyah, Battra, Andruis and Space Godzilla. Battra so we can get more Mothra content, Andruis so Big G can have a friend and not deal with the MV's shit solo all the time and Destroyah because I want a villain who is not only stronger than Thermo Godzilla but has the smarts of Skar King, if not even surpassing him in terms of diabolical tomfoolery. Space Godzilla would just be a cool side quest for the MV imo. It could open up the possibility that Godzilla himself may be like Ghidorah - an invasive species that just happened to integrate with the Earth's biosphere instead of trying to corrupt it.

And humans seeing hollow earth as a resource decides to up set the balance and unknowingly create Destroya. Forcing Godzilla to fight the two but Kong seeing Biollante as a defender of nature decides to protect the plant monster
