10 years that I've been using Live, I've never really gotten into using sequencers. This video has just changed that! Well timed too. I was watching the T1 kickstarter launch today, thinking back to the Latronic Notron and how much I enjoyed that shuffling 'Ealing Techno' sound... and how I hankered for iOS Patterning within Live. Thanks!!!

Apologies if I missed it, but with Euclidean rhythms is it possible to route each of the 4 "playheads" to different midi channels?
@audioreakt
@audioreakt 4 жыл бұрын
No you can't but what you can do it's creating an instrument rack with 4 chain contening 4 different instrument, then each chain can have a restricted midi note range, and you can use each sequencer in a "limited midi" range unfortuantely but that's the only way. But it can be a interesting idea. But that would be dope if you could send the midi from each sequencer to other channel..

I am not sure which rack you mean but might be related to the enveloppe ( to slow so the sequencer its triggering your synth too fast). try to check enveloppe both for amplitude and the filter and see if it change.

@@audioreakt so in the video you use the snake sequencer on a midi track, you then place a scale tool after it and then you placed the AYNIL peaktimesynth after it, so you feed the sequence into that synth. But I get no sound when I do this. In the video you say that you have no sound because of the cutoff so when you increase the frequency we can suddenly hear the sequence. What did you map the macro 1 to for the filter frequency? Is it the operator?

Why would I want to use one of these devices vs just sequencing directly on Ableton? Genuine question
@intheburrows
@intheburrows 4 жыл бұрын
you are able to experiment with a different approach and therefore come up with sequences you normally wouldn't. some things that would take a minute or more with a piano roll sequencer would take a few seconds with a different sequencer.
@audioreakt
@audioreakt 4 жыл бұрын
Like Burrows say it's a different approach. I like to sequence with my Push2 as well it depend what kind of sequence I have in my mind. Each sequencer does the same thing basically (writing notes down) but with different approach which lead to differnet idea that you wouldn't even think in the first place..And usually sequencer are funnier to play than just clicking notes in the piano roll.

@@franciscojaenvelazquez9582 You can do this with multiple MIDI tracks sending to the same instrument, each with a different length MIDI clip. You could even add probability using Follow Actions.

Can you play the eucledian across keyboard to change pitch?
@audioreakt
@audioreakt 4 жыл бұрын
I am not sure what you mean, you can play differnt note for each sequencer independently. Like the seq1 is playing the range C1-C2, the seq2 is playing the range C2-C3 etc.. You can chose the pitch of each note you put on the sequencer.

Your tracks are amazing! If you dont get signed by drumcode i would be very suprised! You have amazing dark raw, and underground techno sound, your techniques are very technical, but this goes to show, some people do not understand, techno is very hard to make GOOD techno! I like your choice in sounds used too. In all your videos. I would like to see more from you. IF you need anything, like branding, logos, media for your packs etc, id be happy to help you out. Feel free to reach out 👍🏻 i used to make sample packs and templates, i know how tkme consuming it can be. Great work though. Love it!
