The hikes in the video were reordered from how I actually hiked them that day on account of the crowds and more importantly dramatic effect. HAHA Happy Hiking!

My wife is now hooked on the White Mountains 😂 for hiking and snowboarding. I’m trying to get her to appreciate Vermont just the same but so far she only wants to go to Lincoln and North Conway. No complaints here! 😅

I'm thinking of trying to do Artist Bluff after I do Mount Osceola and East Osceola next Friday. I'm planning on starting Osceola around 8 am so not sure how realistic I'm being in getting a parking spot at Artist Bluff afterwards. View looks amazing!

Mt. Willard is a great hike if you want a hike but don't want to really exert yourself. I saw video a few weeks about with Mt. Willard in it and there appeared to be some sort of chain blocking off the right side of the summit. Was I imaging things? If there is fence blocking that portion, that will bum me out as that's where I like to hide and read a book. I have a couple videos of Mt. Willard, the first before the first snow storm of the season of 2020 and on in the middle of the Winter. The Winter hike is absolutely gorgeous. I did Artist's Bluff in the Winter and this past Spring. There are some tricky parts that put a little spice into the hike.
@AdamHoyt

Hey Paul, I am not sure about a chain as the summit looked the same as it always has the day that I hiked it. Both such great hikes in all the seasons.

Beautiful time of year! Square ledge is so under rated. I remember doing Artist’s Bluff with my family as a kid. Great hikes!

I just hiked Mt Willard. The view is spectacular! However, I really cannot agree that it is easy for everyone. Some of the rocks are rather large, which could be a problem for people who have knee problems. A few books list this hike as moderate, and I think that's fair. Otherwise, great video!
@AdamHoyt
@AdamHoyt 2 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite views for sure! I'll have to try it again with my recovering knee after they let me unlock my brace and I'll get back to everyone on how that went haha. I could see this being a great first hike back in the saddle after not hiking for months haha. have fun hiking!

Agreed...its nice until you get to the 75 degree incline with the rocks.

I tend to agree with you it’s a long climb and there is some moderately difficult rocks to deal with. The view is beautiful though. Thankfully I live in Twin Mountain not far from many great trails.

I love the Whites. I grew up with ski/snowboarding culture, where the attention is more on Vermont than NH, and rightly so. But as I traveled up to the White Mountains to snowboard I realized how amazing they are and I think even more special. And excellent ski resorts as well. I love the view of Cannon there from Artist Bluff. Amazing ski mountain and I think the only state-run ski mountain in NH.
@AdamHoyt
@AdamHoyt 2 ай бұрын
ahh I've never skiied that mountain but have always seen people doing it. Maybe I'll have to finally try that someday!

@@AdamHoyt Definitely! One of I think only 2 4,000 foot ski resorts in New England also. Lots of challenging terrain there also if you like the more advanced stuff.

Is square ledge and artists bluff both doable in one day? We really want to do both but having a hard time getting an understanding of where everything is located.
@AdamHoyt
@AdamHoyt Жыл бұрын
HI Paige. They are both very doable for the average person. You could do one in the morning and one in the afternoon with time for lunch in between if you wanted. In the video's description I have listed the google maps addresses for each of the trailheads for each of the the three hikes included. There is one hour driving time between the Artist Bluff trailhead and the Square Ledge trailhead.

Hi, i see you mentioned there is a 0.5 mile trail to go to artists bluff. Can i know where is the starting point for that trail?
@AdamHoyt
@AdamHoyt 17 күн бұрын
across the street from the cannon mountain rv park parking lot. but with the crazy traffic coming for peak foliage i'm not sure they will let you park there. don't worry literally every person will be walking along the road to hike that .5 mile trail single file to the ledge haha. you'll know where it is. or ask the cop directing traffic haha
@jasmar3562
@jasmar3562 2 жыл бұрын
I what time did you recommend or started the hiking?
@AdamHoyt
@AdamHoyt 2 жыл бұрын
All of these hikes are fairly short and wouldn't really affect what time you would need to start. I think for timing what would matter more is if the parking lots get filled up. So earlier is better so that you can get a parking spot at the trail head!
