I’m 71 and lived in NH my whole life. Watching you two brings back some great memories of growing up here and discovering the mountains. First with my parents, siblings and relatives (my maternal grandfather had a camp in Woodstock) and later on exploring with girlfriends and skipping school. Years later, introducing our children to the White Mountains and then the grandchildren. Soon the great grandchildren will be able to enjoy. It’s been a terrific life! Thanks for reminding me!

First time watching one of you vids.....you two remind me of the Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri SNL skit "Morning Latte". I have to ask, did you two go over the bridge at Rocky Gorger and check out Falls Pond? Beautiful view and most people don't realize if they walk an extra 10 minutes after the bridge they get that view.

@JamesandMeg5 ай бұрын
It was actually a Saturday, Oct 15th. Surprisingly it wasn't that busy, but I also think that was because we were a little past peak at that point. Supposedly the weekend before it was a 4 hour drive from one end to the other. A mid week drive should be much better!

@PaulsWanderings Жыл бұрын
Try driving through Franconia Notch in a whiteout, that's really fun. Franconia Notch has its own weather. It can be bright and sunny to the north and south and you could be in a raging blizzard or fog in the Notch. The Common Man is the best. The Kancamagus Highway is pronounced like THANK. Just call it the Kanc. Drones are not allowed in most of northern New Hampshire. You can't fly a drone in the White Mountains National Forrest, which covers most of the state and the Kanc. runs right through it and you can fly a drone in any state park. The Pemigewasset outlook is surpassed by the outlook just after you crest the high point of the peak and it is on the left.
@JamesandMeg11 ай бұрын
I can't imagine drying through in a white out! I bet that was scary! It definitely seems like what you said, it has its own weather. No matter what was going on in Lincoln, every time we drop into the park it was different.
@JamesandMeg11 ай бұрын
We were definitely were pronouncing it wrong! 😂 A lot of different towns/cities were pronounced differently than we thought. We saw on the map and signs no drones around most everywhere we went. A lot of people were breaking those rules, which is frustrating. Thanks for watching!
@PaulsWanderings11 ай бұрын
@@JamesandMeg as you can imagine, many people, including locals, pronounce the Kanc wrong, me included.
