If you like these, I recommend considering the SBGA375 as well, which has has the Indigo dial and Spring Drive with what I think is a more striking case to showcase the Zaratsu polishing.

I very much like Grand Seiko especially the Spring Drive, but really prefer the older Grand Seiko's that have not had their bracelets widened making the bracelets look too wide. Other Swiss brands have also done this and I am sure it is a fashion trend. Spring Drive is my preference as it has the older better looking bracelet width and is steel. Titanium is a great material but doesn't seem desirable over steel or precious metal for mechanical watches. Just look at the second hand prices.

@@eijiroinouye4115 you can polish titanium but it has a duller shine but that is still very nice but I do prefer steel or precious metals for mechanical watches. It is only my own preference but I don't like wide bracelets on watch cases @ 40mm that I think is a fashion trend or something do prefer a 20mm lug width and then tapering to the buckle always goes seem to look better.

Thank you for the great pictures? How is the bracelet of the SBGA469? Is it fixed with pins or screws? Does the watch have a screw-down crown? Would be glad to get some info as it is not possible to see the watch in a shop.

The bracelet is screws and it's a screw down crown for 100m water resist

Wish GS watches would have a tapered bracelet. Think my only GS bracelet that has a taper is the beads of rice bracelet on my sbgw235… most comfortable bracelet by far. A 21mm untapered bracelet seems too clunky

Gotta drop the prices on some of these watches. No way they should priced in the same price as Rolex with Seiko name anywhere near their watch. Perhaps they should develop Credor as a brand further

Forget the name; for the money you're getting a better watch than a Rolex. The issue with developing Credor further is that it would probably cannibalise GS sales overseas. Credor is also uncompromisingly Japanese in its approach

Rather buy a GS any day over a Rolex, had my Rolex for 2 months and sold it same old designs. Now have a GS and far better craftmenship

@@JamieWeissWatches for the money, we should all get G Shock and Apple Watch, because they offer the most bang for the buck and highest price-to-performance ratio. But for luxury watches or any luxury product, brand equity is the most important factor. People buy a luxury watch because of its brand association, as well as its features and quality. For Grand Seiko, their watches are great, but the reason they are not even close to the same level as Omega or Rolex. I think their brand equity is equivalent of Tudor or Longines. So for them to increase brand equity and increase the price, they should replace GS with Credor, and use GS on Seiko watches between 2000k to 5000k.

You don’t buy a GS for “character” you buy them because you appreciate the amazing craftsmanship that goes into them. GS is one of those “if you know you know” things if you spot one on a wrist.
