Sorry, "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" was initially written by Jimmie Cox. I got that info from Eric Clapton's "The Easy Guitar Book". Of course, my favorite version is Clapton's. Cheers !

I live in the UK so it is always a revelation to see and hear you travelling through the famous places I can only imagine, and reminisce about the people who rode through those lands searching for their new life, carrying their music with them, and playing around the camp fire every evening, wondering what the next day would bring. One can only imagine the courage they had,and be grateful that they passed that way.

Between Africa and the Mississippi Delta Blues lies a rhythm section of time, a boogie woogie era that was carved out of a Gourds. This magical music time was played on what some people call the 3 string boogie. I knew a man in Jackson, Mississippi who made these magical time pieces out of gourds he grew in Copiah County, which is ironically the birthplace of Robert Johnson. This man passed away after only making a few of these instruments, but his shop, research, and instruments were donated to the Smithsonian at their request by his lovely wife. I say this because much is said and written of the Blues but I would love to see great guitarist like yourself play the 3string boogie like my friend use to play because the 3 string boogie is to the blues as the blues is to the many genres of music today. Love your videos.

@@skidjs lol not false. Not sure what you dont understand. Jazz is still jazz, classical is still classical. They havent evolved a whole lot. Blues influenced everything. Much of the music we know and love today wouldnt exist without the blues. Blues leads to rock and roll leads psychadelic rock leads to metal leads to grunge leads to pop rock leads to indie. That's just a dumbed down timeline as well. The true influence is immense. Blues is what transformed music of the past into today's music.

I hope someday you get to visit the southern United States so that you can see the types of landscape that these artists would’ve been familiar with. It’s very lush in that part of the country. Not at all desert. It’s actually very beautiful. It’s the people they lived around in the society they had to fight through that was the harsh and forbidding part. Hello from Texas.

Wow, never ever felt this way before before hearing your songs. Say, I'm born in year 2000, and I'm from Philippines. But in my own way of appreciating music, though I am so-what they call 'millenials', I'm more attached to 80's and 90's western blues, ballads, and acoustic classics. Proud to be one of a present rare-of-a-kind music type lover, since as of what I've observed within my community, most of us bloomed in the same era most likely be in Modern-mixed musics, Pops, Rocks, Raps, Dj musics, Electrics. Of which for myself found less peacefulness when listening unlike these magnificent blues! Hope someday I'll follow your step. Hahha. Learning to play blues. Wish me luck please. 🙏. Thanks.
