I'm playing the guitar for 13 years now. Yet I have to admit I'm not anywhere near you when it comes to "clean playing". Not a single snarry string sound, that's ... a statement. Also I'm glad you had "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by LZ in your list. It's a must do for everyone on the acoustic guitar although I was wondering why you missed "Dust in the Wind" in such a list. But there are already enough guys complaining about missing songs here (how dare you not to cover all 2 billion acoustic songs on this planet in your list?!). Keep it up mate.

Totally agree. I think I could play most of these songs and I already know a few but it's just way sloppier than him. I really praise clean playstyle.

I'm not saying practise does not matter, but guitar makes a huge difference in that case. On some guitars you cant even play single chord without strings buzzing
@robertocaesar5 жыл бұрын
You guys didn't know? He used a software known as autocleaning. It is very similar to auto tuning with the difference that when the sound gets to a minimal threshold of sound the software turns that little interference noise into absolute silence. The software is intelligent too. It may correct bad fingerings and poor sound projection, making even real mediocre jerk guitar players into awesome ones. If you want a software like this, let me assure you, I was kidding the entire time. Paul plays awesome and let never be such a stupid thing that replaces human playing. Good day mates!

Hi Paul. This is really good playing. I've played the Piano for 45 years and just picked up the guitar for the last 3(I love how much more portable it is than the piano....). I'm having a great time using my ear experience from piano to figure out songs like these on the guitar and I'm starting to make progress to the point I can actually make some busking money doing it. Some songs I enjoy doing in addition to about half the songs you just did are: Moonshadow-Cat Stevens Knocking on Heaven's Door-Bob Dylan Pencil Thin Moustache-Jimmy Buffett Solitary Man-Neil Diamond Rocky Mountain High-John Denver Jumping Jack Flash-The Rolling Stones Wonderwall-Oasis Norwegian Wood-The Beatles Have you ever seen the Rain-Creedence Clearwater Revival I am a Rock-Simon and Garfunkel Loves me like a rock-Paul Simon Sweet Baby James-James Taylor Mary Jane's Last Dance-Tom Petty Space Oddity-David Bowie Take it easy-The Eagles Wichita Lineman-Glen Campbell Band on the run-Wings Every Rose has its thorn-Poison Yesterday-The Beatles Under the Bridge-The Red Hot Chili Peppers Anything you want(you got it)-Roy Orbison Yeah, I'm kind of an eclectic music lover LOL! I've a lot of work to do before I can play anywhere as good as you, but it's a lot of fun to work on it. Thanks for posting such an inspirational video, my friend. Peace.

Dude - so glad I found this page!! You are awesome. Obviously massively talented, AND able to explain things in ways that a total beginner like me can understand. I've been wanting to learn to play for 10 years and kept giving up. Just inherited a Martin D16GT when my father died a few months ago. I think it's time I take this guitar and start learning for real. So overwhelming trying to figure out the best approach to learning. I want to understand the language of music-- notation and theory-- want to learn guitar and piano-- want to play favorite songs and someday write my own songs, as I am a poetry writer. Anyway. Glad I found this page.
